The main level has everything one needs (kitchen, dining, main bedroom and full bath, TV and couch and one deck) so guests who don't want to climb stairs won't have to (except for the hot tub, the heart Jacuzzi bath, and the games). There are 5 steps to the entrance porch. Other things to note <> You're welcome to use the resort's swimming pool (open from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day) It is located at the bottom of the crest (a 5-7 minute drive down and there's parking there). <> This is bears' territory, make sure you keep your food under locks (bears can climb the deck and open car doors). You might also encounter the occasional (mostly dead) insect that will have wondered in from the woods... they are harmless. <> Keep in mind that the refrigerator may require a few hours to cool an entirely new load of warm groceries. It's advisable to keep the setting on medium to prevent the initiation of the defrosting process, which could extend the time needed to cool your food. <> We strongly advise obtaining TRAVEL INSURANCE as we cannot provide refunds for circumstances beyond our control, such as weather events, natural disasters, power outages, acts of God, or other unforeseen incidents. The weather in the mountains can be quite extreme and sometimes high winds will result in power outages. Those don't usually last very long but you may experience it while at the cabin, and lose heat, cooking amenities, hot water and heat temporarily. ** Please note that any date changes are subject to our cancellation policy.
