This renovated seven-bedroom/six-bathroom mansion was built by the Biltmore's supervising resident and completing architect, Richard Sharp Smith. The space With 7 bedrooms, up to 20 guests (plus young children) can stay on property based on two guests per bed. There are 6 King beds, 2 queen beds, and two optional queen sized pullout sofas (sofabeds are an optional add-on). With a living room on the ground floor and the second floor, dining tables to accommodate 16 guests (a main dining room table for eight which is open to another two tables, each seating four, in the adjacent living spaces), a game room, fire pit, and 7 bedrooms/6 bathrooms, there are enough spaces for your large group to both come together and spread out as desired. There's also a newly renovated flex room above the game room which is an ideal space for yoga, an artist retreat (based on approval), mobile massage and other group activities! There is so much to do just steps from the Inn but you will be town between exploring ad relaxing back at the Inn. Read a book on the 50' covered patio overlooking the French Broad River, enjoy the 65" Samsung smart TV and games in the cozy second floor living room, or cook on the six-burner gas stove or outdoor Weber gas grill. On the other side of the property you can roast s'mores by the fire pit, watch TV while choosing between a game of ping pong, skee-ball, giant jenga, chess and poker. Want to make some time for wellness? Enjoy the flex space for yoga (mats provided), book a mobile masseuse for your group, use the space for an art retreat (contact us to discuss retreat details). We hope to host you and your group soon! Other things to note The inn and the outbuilding provide so much room, 5,000 sq ft worth, and there's so many gathering spaces. With downtown Marshall and all of its offerings a short walk away, plus all of the Inn's gathering spaces, two living rooms, the 50' front porch, game room, fire pit and yoga/flex room, there's really so many options for your group to gather together or spread out and explore! If you are into historical properties, the Marshall House Inn is a unique mansion built as a private residence in 1903 and listed on the national register of historic places. Designed by the supervising and completing architect of the Biltmore Estate, Richard Sharp Smith, the house is built in the English vernacular style. The house was converted into a ‘Tourist Home’ in the 1920s and has been welcoming guests to Marshall ever since. With a major renovation in 2016, the Inn was refurbished in 2022 by Lindy Paz, a graduate of the Cornell Hotel School with nearly 20 years of experience in hotels, food and beverage and events.
