The property is less than 1/2 mile away from the Gills Bay ferry and on the bus route which has a regular service to Kirkwall and Stromness. The village of St Margarets Hope has shops, pubs, post office, and a coffeehoose that sells local crafts and Orkney produce. There is a 9 hole golf course, tennis court , bowling green, 2 play parks and a fitness suite all within walking distance of The Noust. There are some lovely beaches and cliff side walks nearby. On the slip outside the door of The Noust there can quite regularly be seals lying.
