Glenwari Cottage-Jindalee NP

Glenwari Farm Cottage is 10 minutes from Cootamundra situated on the edge of Jindalee National Park and across the road from Mannamite Cottage (also on VRBO). New in 2023 the Jindalee NP mountain bike and walking trails makes this the ideal getaway place. 25 km of flowy green/blue trail at your doorstep. The walking sites include echidnas, wallabies, goannas and an abundance of birds, the beautiful Cootamundra wattle in August/September and hectares ironbark forrest to explore. Glenwari Cottage has three bedroom (1x QB, 1x DB, 2x SB), one bathroom with separate toilet, open plan kitchen/lounge and separate lounge/dining both with televisions. Reverse cycle air conditioning. Espresso coffee machine and pods provided but if you prefer a certain flavour bring it along. There is an undercover car park and ample parking for trailers and trucks. Entry to the property is via the National Park Glenwari Trail which is 1.1km of dirt road. The large yard has an outdoor eating area, fire pit (please inform Host if you intend to use fire prior to arrival) and tennis court. A two minute ride back up Glenwari trail puts you at the start of the new Jindalee NP mountain bike track. A flowy 25km green-blue single track. In addition the network of fire trails makes for fantastic bush walking and bird watching. August through spring is when the incredible Cootamundra wattle is in bloom and the surrounding farm land is a patchwork of canola and wheat. As Glenwari is a working farm producing meat plus fat lambs, wheat and canola you will be able to view the surrounding paddocks and whatever farm activities are occurring at the time of your stay. For safety there is no access to paddocks, sheds or yards. Glenwari Farm Cottage is well situated to attend local events like the Temora Aviation Fly Ins and Museum (40 mins), Young Cherry Festival (30 mins), Junee Liquorice Factory and Train Museum (30 mins) and Jugiong's highly popular Sir George Hotel, Long Track Pantry and the Jugiong Wine Cellar (40 mins). Enjoy Coota’s excellent MTB trails (owner can provide local information), a round of golf then a few laps in the local 25m heated pool.
