When you first, arrive you know this place is special...You will see A Plus landscaping and the beautiful home that sits next to the peaceful sounds of the nearby stream. Inside there is comfy couches, chairs, beds, clean bathrooms, games, complimentary marshmallows and wine, and all of the items you need to feel comfortable and content. The swimming hole nearby is cool and refreshing. I did not fish with the provided fishing poles, but I did snorkel around and saw two rainbow trout in the hole. I recommend letting those fish grow, and just go down the road a bit to the bigger area that does have well stocked trout and other fish. Our hosts had five fishing poles with tackle to use if we had wanted. And the hosts are AMAZING. Susan, who I talked to, was so helpful, delightful, and caring about our stay. Getting to stay and enjoy this home is an experience you will NEVER forget. My wife and friends plan to come back forevermore to enjoy this this magical place. If you are lucky like we were, you can see the clouds and stars of the milky way. It was so clear here. And for the rest of the nights (July) we were treated to dazzling firefly shows. Our family of 6 plus 2 dogs had an amazing vacation at the river house! The house was very charming, cozy and immaculate. It had everything we needed and even some sweet surprises...a welcoming bottle of wine and all the fixings for smores- long sticks included! Susan went out of her way to make us feel safe during Covid by providing hand sanitizer, disinfecting spray and doing extra cleaning before we arrived which was much appreciated. I can’t say enough about how beautiful, private and relaxing the river house property is. We spent our mornings having breakfast on the deck overlooking the river. Our days playing yard games, hiking and swimming in the water hole-(our own amazing private water hole right on the property!!) and our evenings playing games and enjoying campfires right next to the river. Our dogs loved the huge property and access to play and explore the river at their leisure. It was the best vacation we’ve had in a long time and we enjoyed every minute! Susan was a fantastic host and we are already making plans to visit again next summer! Guest access You will have access to the whole house and grounds. Large yard, pet friendly. Great deck! There is a locked owners closet on the 1st floor, Other things to note Beautiful riverfront, property, Wi-Fi (can sometimes be slow) and Direct TV(doesnt get local stations its a satellite problem, remote property) , Roku TV, Gas grill. Master Bedroom has a King Sized Bed. Roku TV. 2nd floor bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink. First floor bedroom has a Queen Sized Bed. Bathroom on the first floor has a tub/shower sink and toilet I leave tea, coffee, filters, sugar and creamer at the house! Also a variety of spices and cooking oil. Wood stove with wood for chilly nights There are cameras on the exterior of the house on each side. There is a locked owners closet on the first floor. There are wasps around the house sometimes. There are other animals, like deer, and turkeys that frequent the property. You will see nature. I do not supply firewood for the firepit, you can bring it with you are buy in town.
