A fully separate self-contained dwelling with free off street parking, within an acre of park like grounds, bordered by a stoney creek river. Views of the harbour and Mt Maunganui. Easily accessible Kaimai Ranges/Karangahake Gorge for biking/walking/hiking tracks for those more active adventurers. Beautiful Waihi Beach only 15 mins away. Tucked away in the country but only 5mins from the little town and Avocado capital of New Zealand, Katikati, and all its amenities. A perfect getaway retreat. The space With large upstairs bedroom, a kitchen and living space below and beautiful modern bathroom, this warm and cosy bnb is just the place to stay, relax and unwind. Spacious grounds, easy parking, surrounded by farmlands and kiwi fruit orchards near, this is a must try for those looking for a NZ experience and feel. River access just 4mins walk away. Watch and listen to native bird life whilst you relax on the large covered deck. Just added a new 2burner BBQ found on the deck for guests to use anytime. Reasonsble cell phone and radio coverage with rural internet access via wifi provided, with Netflix and Freeview available for movies on those cosy nights in. Owners live on property in nearby separate dwelling, close but not too close so you still get your own space and privacy. Note: Being a loft, the downstairs living area has a lower ceiling height than a standard house. Easily suitable for most people but if you’re a basketballer type and you’re over 6’4” then you may need to be careful. Guest access Easy to find as you’ll spot our bnb as you enter the driveway. Plenty of free parking right next to the deck. You’re free to access all our grounds here, with the chook house and gardens and fruit trees (and currently with our neighbours kind consent), guests are now able to access the lower river (via our shared fence stile). Please be aware that their property often has cows using the area next door and their lower paddock, and we ask you to treat them with respect at all times. Other things to note Complimentary ingredients provided (for you to make breakfast) for the first morning of your stay. You will no doubt spot and hear a variety of birdlife perched in the native trees, birds like tuis, kereru, fantails, swallows and kingfishers and with 5 happy free range chickens (which are occasionally let loose from their large penned area to wander the full property), so do not bring any pets please, and even a beehive, you’ll get to see and sample a good slice of life in the country. Views of Mount Maunganui and the upper harbour, river and typical NZ rural countryside with our neighbours occassionaly roaming sheep freely next door. A true New Zealand feel.
