Description

Wake to panoramic Sea of Abaco views at Starfish Bay, a luxury 3BR oceanfront home on a private gated peninsula in Marsh Harbour. Enjoy 2,000+ sq ft of decks, stairs straight into the sea, and access to protected marina slips on the calm canal side. Kayaks, SUPs, water mat, and snorkel gear are included, with off‑grid solar power, RO drinking water, Starlink WiFi, and easy access by boat or ferry to Hope Town, Man‑O‑War, Guana Cay, Mermaid Reef, Tahiti Beach, and more. The space The Space at Starfish Bay is designed as the ideal island base for families and friends who want true waterfront living, room to spread out, and easy access to everything the Abacos offer. Inside, you’ll find a bright, open‑plan 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom home (completed June 2022) with high ceilings and water views from every bedroom. The primary bedroom, living room, and waterfront guest room all have large sliding doors that open onto a covered patio, so indoor and outdoor living blend together. Every bedroom and the living room has a 50" smart TV (Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, and more), plus Sonos/Bluetooth speakers for your own music. A well‑equipped modern kitchen features a gas range with griddle, full‑size fridge/freezer, dishwasher, standalone ice maker, air fryer, coffee machine, toaster, blender, and kettle, with plenty of storage and large closets throughout. Outside is where Starfish Bay really shines. The home sits directly on the Sea of Abaco with three distinct outdoor living zones: a 600 sq ft covered porch for shaded lounging, a huge upper deck (around 1,600 sq ft) with infinity‑style ocean views, and a lower deck with wide stairs that lead straight into the sea. The upper deck is furnished with four lounge chaises, four Adirondack chairs, an outdoor dining table for six, and a high‑top table for four, plus a cornhole set and a large outdoor A/C unit to keep the covered areas cooler on hot days. On the lower level you’ll find an outdoor shower and a full outdoor kitchen with Weber gas grill, sink, and prep area. Water toys are ready to go: typically 2 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, a large water mat, and snorkel gear for up to six guests, all available on both the north (ocean) and south (canal) sides of the property. Wide decks and stairs make launching easy, and high‑speed WiFi covers all outdoor areas so you can stay connected while you relax. The property itself, part of our larger LUSEA estate, is truly sea‑to‑sea. To the north, Starfish Bay faces the open Sea of Abaco; to the south, a short path leads to our private marina on the protected Sugarloaf Canal. Here you’ll find guest dockage (by request) for boats up to 60 feet with power and water, seating, and a fish cleaning station—giving you a second, calm waterfront to enjoy and a protected option when winds pick up on the ocean side. The entire property is off‑grid, powered by a large solar plant with generator backup and its own water plant (rainwater harvesting plus reverse osmosis and UV filtration), so you have reliable 24/7 electricity and safe, great‑tasting drinking water from every tap. All of this sits within Eastern Shores, a private, gated peninsula that’s surrounded by water yet just minutes by car from the airport, ferries, groceries, restaurants, liquor store, pharmacy, and clinic, and only a short boat ride to Hope Town, Man‑O‑War, Mermaid Reef, Lubbers, and Tahiti Beach. Guest access Guests have full private use of Starfish Bay and its waterfront spaces during their stay. You’ll have your own parking area, private entrance, and exclusive access to all patios, the upper and lower decks, and the stairs that lead directly into the Sea of Abaco. You’ll also have access to our private marina and docks on the south (canal) side of the property. A short path leads from Starfish Bay to the dock on the sheltered waterway between Sugarloaf Cay and Eastern Shores. There you’ll find Adirondack chairs and tables for relaxing, a fish‑cleaning station, and a private slip that can accommodate a boat up to roughly 60–65 feet (dockage must be arranged in advance). From the marina you’ll enjoy a completely different view—south over the calm Sugarloaf Canal and lagoon—often with spectacular sunsets. This area is always available to you, whether you arrive with your own boat, rent one locally, or simply want another beautiful spot to sit by the water. Guests are welcome to use all provided water toys—kayaks, paddleboards, and water mats—on both the ocean side and the canal side. Having water access on both sides of the property is a major advantage: if the north side is windy, you can usually move to the protected south side and still enjoy paddling, swimming, or just floating in calm water. Other things to note Starfish Bay brings together a rare sea‑to‑sea setting, true off‑grid comfort, and a central Abaco location that’s hard to beat. Sea‑to‑sea waterfront: open Sea of Abaco on the north side with direct ocean access, and the calm Sugarloaf Canal/lagoon on the south side with a protected private marina. If it’s breezy on one side, the other is usually calm so you can enjoy the water in almost any conditions. Direct ocean living: the home sits right on the Sea of Abaco with wide stairs leading from the lower deck straight into the water. Swim, snorkel, or float without ever leaving the property. Expansive outdoor space: three distinct outdoor zones (covered porch, upper deck, and lower swim deck with outdoor shower and kitchen) totaling over 2,000 sq ft give your group room to spread out, dine, lounge, and play. Protected guest dockage: on the south side, a private slip in the on‑site marina is available for boats up to roughly 50–55 ft, with shore power and water, shaded seating, and a fish‑cleaning station (no liveaboards; arrange dockage in advance). Water toys included: kayaks, paddle boards, a large water mat, and snorkel gear are provided and can be used from both the ocean side and the canal side, giving you two very different water experiences from one property. Off‑grid reliability: a large solar power plant with generator backup provides 24/7 electricity, and an on‑site water plant (rainwater harvesting, reverse osmosis, UV filtration) supplies safe, great‑tasting drinking water from every tap—no bottled water needed. Fast, dependable WiFi: high‑speed Starlink (plus backup) covers the home, decks, and docks so you can work, stream, or keep in touch from anywhere on the property. Modern, comfortable interior: new construction (2022) with an open‑plan 3BR/2BA layout, high ceilings, smart TVs in every bedroom and the living room, Sonos/Bluetooth speakers, and a fully equipped kitchen designed for longer stays and families. Flexible cleaning options: standard turnover cleaning is included; extra or daily housekeeping can be arranged for an additional fee if you prefer hotel‑style service. Central yet private: located in Eastern Shores, a quiet gated peninsula surrounded by water but only minutes by car to the airport, groceries, restaurants, liquor store, pharmacy, and clinic, and just short boat runs to Hope Town, Man‑O‑War, Mermaid Reef, Lubbers, Tahiti Beach, Treasure Cay, and Little Harbour. Part of the LUSEA estate: Starfish Bay is a private standalone villa on our larger sea‑to‑sea property. Next door is Mermaid Cove, our 1‑bedroom villa; the two can be rented together for a 4‑bedroom oceanfront compound (subject to availability). The wider estate also includes our residence, guest house, water plant, power plant, and private marina, giving the property a “micro‑resort” feel while still keeping your home and outdoor areas fully private. Starfish Bay is perfectly placed for days that can be as relaxed or as adventurous as you like. From your private dock in Eastern Shores, you’re sitting at the hub of the Abacos with an incredible amount to see and do in every direction by boat and by car. On the water, you can: Cruise to Hope Town on Elbow Cay to climb the iconic Elbow Reef Lighthouse, wander the pastel village, and enjoy beach bars and restaurants. Head to Man‑O‑War Cay to explore its boatbuilding heritage, small museum, and quiet beaches. Slip down to Tahiti Beach and neighboring Lubbers Quarters for sandbars at low tide, swimming in shallow turquoise water, snorkeling, and a casual beach day in a laid‑back setting. Hop over to Great Guana Cay for famous beach bars like Nipper’s and Grabber’s, long ocean beaches, and reef snorkeling. Snorkel nearby Mermaid Reef, visit Fowl Cay National Park, or book fishing/diving charters for reef, offshore, or bonefishing days in the protected Sea of Abaco. By land, Marsh Harbour is your practical and cultural base, with groceries, shops, local bars and restaurants, festivals, and nature or birding tours on the main island. A car also makes it easy to drive north to Treasure Cay for its famous beach and tour operators, or south to Little Harbour to visit Pete’s Pub, the foundry, and its gorgeous cove. Once you book, you’ll receive our detailed digital guide with maps, recommended routes, favorite restaurants and beach bars, charter contacts, and suggested day‑by‑day itineraries for Marsh Harbour, Hope Town, Man‑O‑War, Guana Cay, Lubbers, Tahiti Beach, Treasure Cay, and Pete’s Pub so you can make the most of every day in the Abacos.
