Then welcome to our third K. Homes Harzhaus, this time in the village of Schulenberg with a magnificent view of the Okertalsperre to the Brocken! The space After more than a year of renovation work, which was completed in September 2021, you can expect about 300 square meters of modern, comfortable living space on a fenced property of about 1200 square meters, which is located in the village of Schulenberg (between Altenau and Goslar). Schulenberg is located above the Okertalsperre, which allows this magnificent view. For sleeping, our box spring beds available in almost all rooms invite you to sleep. In addition, our accommodation has a bunk bed, as well as a stool that can be converted for sleeping. Thus, restful nights should no longer be a problem. Our 4 bathrooms with walk-in shower, sink, toilet, hair dryer, heated mirrors that do not fog up when showering, as well as windows, allow for a quick and jam-free morning even with a high occupancy of guests. Harz, peace, nature... it's all very nice, but you want to stay connected to the world? With our free 50,000 Internet line (incl. Wi-Fi), streaming, sending vacation photos and videos, or even holding online team meetings in larger groups should not be a problem. Our fully equipped kitchen with high-quality electrical appliances such as induction hob, extractor hood, oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer compartments, coffee machines, coffee filter machine with 2 pots, toaster, etc., should give every hobby chef pleasure, unless he is too distracted by the beautiful view of the Okertalsperre, which you have from the kitchen island, and burns the food ;) Whether cozy movie nights or holding a presentation, our 75-inch LG Smart TV not only provides a nice ambience, but makes the projector superfluous. The portable Bluetooth box from Teufel not only offers the best sound quality on demand, but also provides you with your hits from wherever you want. Maybe in another highlight of this place. To make it difficult for you to claim that you were bored after the excursions in nature, numerous sights that the Harz has to offer or in rainy weather, we have set up a room in which you can play your skills of accuracy in billiards, reaction speed in air hockey or teamwork in foosball. If your ability is not enough to win, you are annoyed and now have to get some fresh air very quickly, then our terrace with over three levels created directly in the room is just the thing for you. There you can not only take a deep breath and become one with nature again, but also light a cigarette, which is unfortunately not allowed in other sections of the whole house. The room is also wonderful for keeping the kids busy so that the adults can just chat in peace. You should also be able to find peace and relaxation in the sauna. Do you like to sit together? Of course, we have created opportunities there as well. So, we have on offer... a living room, with numerous, cozy seating on the sofas. Or would you rather have the dining room, whose table resembles a long table? Okay, to say you have a lot of seating space there would be too much promised but hey, it fits all 16 people, all sitting together is really fulfilled here and if you are less than 16, then put a chair aside and you can keep a little more distance. What do you think, covered and protected from the wind and yet not really inside? In our conservatory with folding doors, the front can be opened almost completely, so that the feeling of nature can be brought into the house! If you have read this far and we still have not been able to convince you that you are in the right place with us, then here comes the last attempt: We have a huge terrace with sun loungers and a magnificent panoramic view. Another dining area on the terrace where you can enjoy your BBQ and two charcoal grills so that a lot can be grilled quickly, for the very hungry among you. On top of that, you will be provided with a garage in which your motorcycles (even the bikers should be happy with us), bicycles, skis or sleds can be stored. So, to cut to the chase (that's Hamburg dialect and means we're serious), we have spared no expense and effort to set up an accommodation in which all kinds of travel groups (families, friends, work colleagues or the famous bowling club) should have the opportunity to spend a few nice days in the eventful Harz region. Because bookings are often made more than 1 year in advance, we are unfortunately not able to determine the price of the linen packages on the day of booking. For this reason, we send an email 21 days prior to arrival with a binding offer for linen packages. Final cleaning The cost of the final cleaning is calculated so that the house is left swept clean, the dishes are washed and put in the cupboards, the garbage is taken outside and all the furniture is exactly where it was found at check-in. The cleaning company charges us for work that goes beyond the usual, which we pass on to the main guest to compensate. Final cleaning is carried out to the highest possible standard by a professional cleaning company. We allow check-in on the same day that the guests of the previous booking check out. In any case, 4 hours are scheduled for two employees of the cleaning company for cleaning. For this reason, early check-in is usually not possible on a day when guests have left at 11 am. The cost of the final cleaning is stated in the booking process. Tourist tax We ask that you purchase the obligatory visitor's cards immediately after arrival at the tourist information office. Because we as hosts have been obliged to provide information about our guests in order to ensure the purchase of the visitor cards, we inform the tourist information about the number of guests arriving in the respective booking periods. All information about the visitor cards can be found on the website of the Altenburg /Schulenberg Tourist Information Office. After payment of the guest fee, you will receive a holiday ticket booklet = guest card. This entitles you to take advantage of various leisure activities such as guided hikes free of charge. You will also receive discounted admission to various facilities. The staff of the Tourist Information Office will be happy to inform you about all the services of your spa card. The visitor's tax is paid in the Tourist Information Altenau/Schulenberg Hüttenstaße 6, 38707 Altenau. Tourist tax is a mandatory levy for guests in tourist regions. This fee is charged to each guest regardless of the rental of a property. The municipalities usually carry out random checks and impose noticeably high fines if guests are found without a visitor's card (even within vacation rentals).
