Welcome to our woodsy surroundings, and light, bright home with wonderful views. We are located by ski trails; x-c and downhill, mountain bike trails, brooks for fishing, and Mount Mansfield for hiking. You can walk to the famous Matterhorn restaurant at the bottom of our drive voted "Best Apres Ski Bar in America!" No driving necessary. We have wifi, desks in the rooms, and can fit up to 8 people when you book our other rooms if you are a big party. Coffee and granola in the morning provided. We have a glassed in stove settled into our fireplace, making it very cozy... Vermont style! Our home is light and bright and airy. Your room is warm and bright. You have the sitting room too, to give you more space to stretch out in. We can always open up the sitting room couch to offer you another double bed for your additional person if you bring one. You have a shared bath, but we MAY set one bath aside for you, privately, if you let us know in advance. We have another room to book if you are a bigger party, "Woods Retreat". And "Yoga Nest" for the nimble. We can accommodate a party of 8, if need be, just ask. We live a very active lifestyle here, and can help you find your way on any trails you wish to hike, bike or ski, We are 1 mile below the ski lifts on Mount Mansfield, and right on the x-c and mountain bike trails. We are at the base of the famed Smugglers Notch for leaf peeping, hiking the long trail, and road biking. At the bottom of our drive is the well known, local watering hole, The Matterhorn Restaurant and Bar, Voted "Best Apres Ski Bar in America!". You never have to drive! It's all right here! I can orient you to town, and where all of you who love the arts can find professional theater, music, and oodles of art galleries. We can help you discern what restaurant would suit you. There is the Mountain Road shuttle which has different schedules depending on the season, but ostensibly, you could bike or ski to our door, and have everything you need right here, and can even shuttle to town to eat and drink.... no need to ever drive! I'm an 8th generation Vermonter, with lots of info, tips and stories to share. Come be our guests! During your stay I'm typically here because I work at home, but could be out.
