Description
The West House is the recently renovated self-contained wing (1/3) of a beautiful Somerset Rectory with use of its own private walled garden. The cottage offers luxury accommodation for families & friends or can be used as a retreat for people working away from home. It has a good sized ground floor with a large kitchen/dining area, 2 bedrooms on each of the 1st and 2nd floors, is within walking distance of Wells & is close to Glastonbury, Street, Bruton, Frome & Bath. The space On the first floor The West House has 2 King Size bedrooms. Both have ensuite shower rooms and one has a luxurious freestanding bath. On the third floor the 1 twin bedroom and the 1 king size bedroom share their own good-sized shower room. On the ground floor there are 2 reception rooms, one with a large log burner and TV, one with a foosball table, plus a well-equipped and welcoming open-plan kitchen with seating for 8. The kitchen leads into a private walled garden with BBQ and seating and there is parking for 4 cars. (NB, there is no access to the lawn at the back of the property). We also keep hens and we provide 1/2 dozen fresh eggs as a welcome gift along with a bottle of wine, butter and a homemade cake. Throughout the rest of your stay you are more than welcome to buy our eggs and home reared pork joints for roasting. If you would be interested in hiring a private chef at any time during your stay this can also be arranged. Guest access Whole House and The Private Walled Garden West House guests will have access to the whole of the West House which includes 4 bedrooms over 2 floors, 2 ensuite and one separate bathroom, one cloakroom, 2 reception rooms, ( 1 of which is a games room), 1 large dining room/kitchen and a private walled courtyard. You will have your own front door and no-one else will have access to the property or walled garden during your stay. Guests will also have access to the private walled parking area at the property. Other things to note Parking: We have space for 3 guest cars directly outside of the West House front door. If you need to bring more than 3 please message us. EV charging: There is no EV charger at the property, the nearest is at Morrisons, 1.5 miles away. If you wish to charge an electric vehicle through making electricity there will be an additional cost of £15 per charge. Please let us know if you intend to use this facility. As mentioned before, there is no access to the main garden.
