Aspen Carriage House - A Wooded Retreat Guesthouse

The Aspen Carriage House provides you with a wooded and restorative retreat at the foothills of Sleeping Lady Mountain to either relax, adventure, or just work remotely. Our 1,000 SF carriage house is tucked away in 5 acres of secluded forest, yet within 2 miles of all the Bavarian mountain town amenities of downtown Leavenworth. Our carriage house is also the perfect home base whether you're coming in to town for Oktoberfest, Leavenworth's Christmas light celebration, hike or just to relax. The space WINTER ROAD CONDITION ADVISORY: the carriage house is located about 1 mile up a private road including about 400’ of elevation from the public roadway. The road is paved and plowed regularly, but we typically have significant snow on the ground throughout winter. AWD/4WD with all terrain tires or chains are absolutely recommended and required as we have no way of towing you if you get stuck. Please note that you assume all responsibility and liability on your trip including the drive up the hill. One of the most beautiful aspects of the Carriage House are the views and the serenity of the natural surroundings. However, getting in to ‘nature’ safely requires some planning during the winter. This private, 1,000 SF, 1+ bedroom (pull-out sleeper sofa in living room) carriage house features custom wood touches and a river rock gas fireplace that create a welcoming alpine retreat that can comfortably sleep 4 adults (or kids!). Our living room offers you a river rock gas fireplace, A/C unit, Smart TV (all your favorite TV apps), and cozy furniture including a pull-out sleeper sofa. Blazing fast Wi-Fi for either working remotely, streaming, or gaming! There’s a full kitchen with a range, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, and all you need to either cook a cozy dinner from some local farmer's market finds (while in season) or just come back and relax with a glass of wine. Eat on the dining room table, kitchen bar, or on the covered deck. Full bath with heated floors, tiled tub and shower. Light, airy bedroom with a queen bed and luxury bedding. In addition, we’ve got the perfect option for nature loves: an outdoor ‘swinging bed’ (with heated mattress!) that allows you the opportunity to sleep under the stars and get the fully immersive nature experience with all the stars, sounds of nature, and a relaxed night’s sleep out on the expansive deck. The pleasure of outdoor sleeping with indoor comfort. On-site parking with up to 2 vehicles directly adjacent to the carriage house. Please note that during the winter there may be snow on the private access road up to the house. Chains or all wheel drive may be required. Guest access Guests have complete use of Carriage House (including expansive deck), hot tub, and private patio. Other things to note The carriage house is attached to our main house by covered breezeway, but completely private. We live next door in the main house, but provide 100% privacy for our guests. However, we're excited to provide recommendations for our favorite local spots upon request! Guests will have complete and private use of the carriage house and hot tub which is located on the covered patio between the main house and carriage house. ***We unfortunately no longer accept pets after renovating the unit.
