Welcome to Bluegill Cottage! Bring families or friends together to enjoy some quality time in beautiful Spring Lake, Michigan. This idyllic, peaceful three-bedroom cottage is tucked away in an off-the-beaten-path corner of Spring Lake, just steps away from the water. It is the kind of place where family and friends come to enjoy a classic lakeside vacation experience and then gather by the firepit at the end of the day to roast s’mores and catch up. Note: guest must sign rental agreement Newly remodeled and decorated, we have put a lot of thought and love into making sure guests feel right at home. Bluegill Cottage has a well-stocked kitchen to prepare delicious meals and an open dining/living area so your group can all socialize together. • Smart TV | Disney + | Netflix | Board Games | Free Wi-Fi Kids will stay entertained both indoors with board games and streaming services or outside with games and adventures! Bluegill Cottage has a Disney+ subscription and you can log onto other streaming accounts as well. Challenge your group to a friendly, competitive, dart game while grilling or kicking back in the covered cabana area. • Cabana-style Outdoor Living Area | Grill and Smoker | Dartboard Game | • Firepit with Cozy Adirondack Chairs - Firewood provided! You are steps away from the spring-fed waters of Spring Lake! Take our wagon with a tote full of beach toys and make sandcastles at Lakeside Beach on Spring Lake. There are also two kayaks for your use to explore the shoreline. Life jackets provided. Minutes from the property, a 12-mile paved path circles Spring Lake. Hike, bike, or jog to your heart's content. It is an easy flat ride with paved surfaces and wooden boardwalks. You'll be winding through nature and you're liable to see all manner of wildlife. Within a quick five-minute walk, splash into the protected calm spring-fed waters and make sandcastles at Lakeside Beach on Spring Lake. A wagon, a tote full of beach toys, and life jackets are provided. There are also two kayaks for your use to explore the shoreline. Anglers can hop on a fishing charter and pull in the big one; the lake has a large stock of Bluegill, Pike, and Bass. Bring your boat as Spring Lake connects to Lake Michigan via the Grand River. Grand Haven State Park has 48 acres with plenty of sandy beaches. Spectacular views will reward the hikers or cross-country skiers. Coastal dunes are everywhere. Don't miss an epic sunset photo-op at the Grand Haven South Pier Inner Light lighthouse. Bring a sweater and breath in the fresh lake air. Village Baker is an artisan bakery and local jewel of a restaurant. They serve up the best crab cakes in West Michigan, with fresh fruit tarts for dessert. The younger crowd feels welcome with mini burgers and kid cocktails. If freshly baked bread or simmering marinara calls, visit Two Tony’s Italian Restaurant and Wine Bar. In early August, the Grand Haven area hosts the country's biggest Coast Guard Festival. It is an exciting time in town with carnival rides, games and bands at the waterfront stage. If you want to turn back the clock, there is no better way to spend a warm summer night than the Getty Drive-In Theatre less than 15 minutes away. Your girl's getaway may be all about unwinding with a little bit of Zen-time at one of the local yoga studios. For foodies, Spring Lake has whatever you may need. Pick up fresh fruit, vegetables, baked goods, or crafts at the local farmers' market or any day at Orchard Market. As the sun sets on your perfect vacation, you can meet at the firepit to see who has perfected making the ultimate s'more! Strawberry Point neighborhood of Spring Lake. You can see the lake from the firepit area of the yard. Walk past just 2 cottages and put the kayaks in the lake at the end of the street. Parking is for 2 cars in tandem in the driveway. Within walking distance are Lakeside Beach and restaurants but generally guests like to have a car to check out the rest of Spring Lake and the surrounding area including Grand Haven, Muskegon, and Holland. Bluegill Cottage sits on one level but because of a few steps to get into the house and to the deck, this house is not wheelchair accessible. We welcome children and infants at Bluegill Cottage but note that someone in your party must be at least 25 years of age. We do not allow events at the property.
