Located in the heart of The Village of Athens, just 17 minutes away from Hudson, 10 minutes away from The Village Of Catskill, and 45 minutes from Hunter and Windham, is this 173-year-old colonial-style home. Arrive from NYC by a short 2.5 hour car ride, or a 2-hour Amtrak ride with a beautiful view of The Hudson. Inside, the three-bedroom, four-bed, three full bath living space has been intentionally and sustainably renovated by author and lifestyle expert, LaTonya Yvette. The space Renovation work includes tile work by Fire Clay Tile (a B-corporation), luxury efficient sinks and toilets from Kohler, and an expert selected collection of Farrow & Ball paints. Each room is also carefully curated with hand-picked vintage items meant for the utmost comfort and style. There are three bedrooms. The primary room has an en-suite soaking tub and a queen bed, the second grey room has a full-size bed, and the third room is a unique bunk bed with a queen at the bottom and a full-size bed at the top. This room also comes with a baby-rail if you need. All bedrooms feature Purple Mattresses. A Dohm sound machine is also provided. The house is family and child friendly. The mudroom comes equipped with soccer balls, hula hoops, and other outdoor toys. BATHROOMS Ground Floor / Full bathroom with laundry Upstairs / Full Bathroom Upstairs en-suit / Claw-foot tub, off-entrance toilet and sink Amenities include: - Bath towels from Quiet Home - Toilet Tissue and Paper Towels by REEL - Feminine products from Honey Pot - Organic shampoo and conditioner - Organic body oil from Everyday Oil (additionally, guests receive an exclusive discount on their first Everyday Oil purchase) LIBRARY Our library is specifically curated by our Community and Engagement Director with BIPOC authors. CHILDREN'S DEN The den has been curated with a with a special selection of books from our library, coloring materials, and toys from the Brimful Shop. The room also features an indoor swing. COMMUNITY DEN Our community den features a Nebula Capsule portable projector and a fabric projector screen. FIREPLACE We have an easy-to-use gas fireplace in-house. And a Solo Stove for outside use. Guest access It is one of only two houses on a street, tucked on to one of the largest land spaces in the village. On the secluded space is roughly .40 acres. This spacious five-lot property makes space for outdoor living, a robust garden bed, and private parking (two cars). Guests have access to the entire house plus the backyard which features a grill, a Solo Stove, a large hammock (through Spring and Summer), seating and a table. You can pick from the garden, play in the yard, sit by the fire—rest. Other things to note We are a low-turnover home, in an effort to support the immediate community, and respect the house and its age. Once we reach two bookings a month, we will close out the calendar. We have a garden full of veggies in the summer, and work within the community to support local activation. We offer a curated shopping guide, and playlist, and are available in a concierge type-service if you should ever need anything. A ferry is available a short walk from the house into the city of Hudson from Memorial Day through Labor Day. We offer fresh bread delivery for $24 upon your arrival from Knead Love Bakery. Complimentary Kombucha is provided from our friends at YesFolk. We have a local handyman available if there should be an emergency.
