The King’s Hideaway. Hot Tub, pizza oven, private.

Tucked away at the end of a private lane, this country charmer is surrounded by forest on 3 sides, with hot tub, wood-fired pizza oven, year round fire pit & priv. walking trail. F’ton area shops and restaurants-18 min. away. Close to Mactaquac Prov.Park with hiking, and lots to do when the snow comes! We are a half hour away from Crabbe Mtn. for skiing, then come back and relax in the hot tub & roast marshmallows! Pet friendly. Now has generator for power outages. This is a rural location. The space This house has been brought back to life with a modern farmhouse feel. Spacious bedrooms have cozy spots to relax, or you can sit and have complementary tea/ coffee/hot chocolate from the upstairs coffee bar at the top of the landing. Vaulted 11ft. ceilings stand out upstairs with reclaimed beadboard, and repurposed roofing tin is used uniquely though the house. We have an eat-in kitchen for your family to enjoy their meals, and now 2 cozy living room spaces to wind down in the evenings. 🔥 A year round firepit, seating for 6 guests, plus extra folding chairs. We provide firewood and wooden roasting sticks for s’mores too! 🍕 Test you pizza making skills with our outdoor,wood-fired pizza oven to make evenings fun. We provide one frozen pizza dough, one sauce, flour and cornmeal for rolling dough. 🩱Relax in our 5~6 person hot tub! Open all year round! 🚶🚶‍♀️Take a walk on the private ,20min. wooded trail, you may see wild Turkeys, fox, raccoons, owls, deer, etc, look for tracks! Please note, lately we have seen bears, coyotes, and a bobcat on our trail cam, so we may suggest at times to use another trail, like The Beaver Pond trail at Mactaquac park. ❄️ Extra lg. mudroom for coats and boots in the winter if you’re snowmobiling, or ATVing, or to hang spa towels. The King's Hideaway is a great place to relax and unwind, or use as a home base to see all the nearby sites. A great halfway point if you are traveling from ON or QC on to NS or PEI. Please note our Airbnb has a claw foot tub/shower, so people with mobility issues may find it hard to get in and out of. But we have now added a ground floor full bathroom, with safety grab bars, and regular tub/shower combo. Even though we have 2 showers now, you may find fluctuations with water temp if used at the same time/and one being turned off/on. It’s also an older home, so the stairs squeak a bit, if anyone is a really light sleeper. I always try and leave fresh flowers, so if you have allergies, or don’t like any kind of scents, please let me know. Guest access Once you turn up the short, dirt lane, the house is on the left, at the top. Lots of parking available, with the lighted entrance on the side. You’ll have full access to the entire house, except one room on the first floor, which is my salon(closed during your stay) which has not been shown in pictures, and the basement. Full access to private backyard, with hot tub, firepit, and pizza oven, seating for 6 around the firepit, and in summer a table and folding chairs under an umbrella. Inside the house you have the password for wifi, regular cable TV, board games, and local interest books, and information. If you want a movie under the stars, we have a projector, and large screen upon request, you just need an iPad/tablet with something downloaded. Full kitchen, right down to a turkey roaster, and blender, and most things in between. Anything that you find you may need during your stay we don’t have, please let us know. All bedrooms are upstairs, and a full bathroom, plus coffee bar, and 2 person seating on the landing. All bedrooms have seating too. A heatpump for heating and cooling, plus a ceiling fan. Other things to note Early September, we will be adding the electrical upgrades to run a generator during power outages ! In the past along with no lights, you couldn’t use the washrooms, get water, or have heat in the winter, this will remedy that! Please make sure you keep notifications on so we are able to communicate during your stay. We will have to access the basement through the house, to switch over the electrical panel for the generator hook up. Plugin is by the stairs, on the driveway side. We have also expanded a bit more since first opening. We have added a larger living room/TV room, and another full bathroom on the first floor, with a grab bar by the bathtub. We also offer a projector/screen for out door movies, just bring your ipad/laptop and we can set it up! The walking trail is about 20 minutes total, up a slight hill, if you want longer trails , I can suggest one’s close by that are longer. Also please note, this Airbnb is located on a short dirt lane. We have eliminated our cleaning fee for guests, we only ask that you don’t leave dirty dishes in the sink,and put soiled/wet towels in either of the bathtubs, and clean up spills as they happen to prevent stains.
