Welcome to the foothills of Historic Placerville, ~1 hr drive to ski resorts. The cabin is secluded, quaint, and peaceful yet so close to popular destinations. Enjoy access to our entire home, 1600sq ft 3-bed 3-bath cabin on a two-acre lot. Our Modern Fort Jim Cabin is both cozy and spacious and can fit most groups looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy the area. Distance from areas of interest: 8 mins to downtown Placerville <10 mins to Apple Hill 20 mins to the Sly Park recreation area 25 mins to Coloma River 50 mins to Sierra Ski Resort and ~1hr from South Lake Tahoe Cabin layout: 1st Floor: The downstairs floor hosts the master bedroom (with a king bed) and a second bedroom (queen bed) that has its own bathroom with a bathtub (ideal if you have kids). You will also find the laundry room on the 1st floor with a brand-new washer and dryer. Upstairs 2nd floor: You will find the 3rd bedroom where we decided to install a cool Murphy bed. You'll also find an open-concept kitchen/living room with plenty of counter space. The living room is equipped with a 65-inch TV, a comfortable leather couch, and an electric fireplace, making it a perfect place to relax after a long day exploring the area. There is also a 3rd full bathroom upstairs so that each bedroom can get its own bathroom. No more fights for shower time! Working desk: Two out of the 3 bedrooms have their own standing desk, and there is plenty of space to work throughout the house with good Wi-Fi coverage, making the Fort Jim cabin perfect for remote workers. Outdoor space: We have a nice deck with outdoor furniture and a gas firepit, and you should feel free to explore our land (if you get lucky, you may see a deer or two!). If you stay at our modern Fort Jim cabin, you'll be a few minutes away from many apple orchards and close to dozens of local vineyards and a lake while remaining off the grid. You're also close enough to jet to Lake Tahoe for both summer and winter outdoor activities. Ring video doorbell camera installed at the front door for security and guest safety. No cameras inside the property. Please feel free to message us if you have more questions! Guest access Guests have access to everything on the property except for the garage (where we are storing personal items and cleaning supplies). There are plenty of parking spaces available on the property so this should not be an issue. Other things to note El Dorado County Planning Department mandates local vacation rentals to observe quiet hours between 10 PM and 8 AM.
