One of 3 villas in the gardens on our 500 feet of lakefront, the Casita is ideal for couples, this studio-style villa has a shaded lakefront terrace and large windows for great views. Quiet and Private... Due to you property size - you will feel like you are in your own private sanctuary. Quiet. Peaceful. Secluded. LAKEFRONT WE HAVE 30+ MEGAS OF INTERNET easy to work from here (if you can with the view!) The space - Queen bed and and futon that converts to double bed. - Kitchen essentials: 1-burner stove, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, blender, pots & pans, dishes, glasses & utensils, cutting board - In-suite tiled bathroom, with separate toilet room, towels - Table for 3 outside on terrace for dining lakefront - Lounge chairs on covered terrace to enjoy the Lakefront - Large ceiling fan and remote-controlled A/C - 24/7 electricity and hot water - 20-liter tanks of drinking water, replaced as needed - Smart TV with Netflix (account needed to access Netflix - Free wireless Internet inside and throughout most of the property - Small safe in room - Smoking allowed only on the terrace, with an ashtray Guest access Guests in our three villas share access to our dock and the hammocks and lounges under its palapa. Also we have two hammocks and two swings over the water to enjoy the lake even more. Free to use are three single sit-on-top kayaks and an excellent canoe, for exploring the laguna or paddling to our nearest favorite restaurant. Parking is in front of the casita. And of course your view is lakefront Whether you’re seeking relaxation, vibrant colors, or a touch of magic, Bacalar offers it all. From laid-back vibes to delicious food, this lesser-known slice of the Yucatan Peninsula is waiting to steal your heart Other things to note We ask guests to check in by 6:00pm, so please plan your flights and drive time accordingly. We are 4 hours south of Cancun airport, the last 2 hours of which have almost no cell signal or streetlights. We are 40 minutes from Chetumal airport, where evening flight arrivals are often delayed. You are always welcome to arrive early and relax on the dock until your villa is ready (we have a separate bathroom and changing area). On your departure day, you are welcome to enjoy the dock and laguna after checking out. Late checkout may be available. We love animals. We have six friendly dogs who like new people, especially kids. Airbnb system defaults make it look like they live in the Casita, but they do not! They live in our house, where they spend most of their time--unless you love dogs, in which case they know it and may hang out near you. They also like well-socialized dog visitors . If you would like to bring yours, do! But please let us know in advance. And you and pooches are always welcome to join us for the morning jungle walk! ALSO IF YOU DO BRING A DOG PLEASE NOTE YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DOG and the DOG's SAFETY. We ask if you go out - the dog is left inside the unit and you are responsible for any damage. We don't expect any but you just never know....
