Our Melody Second Story Suite provides private access secured with a smart lock which will generate a unique code for you upon your booking. You have your own entrance to your back patio and a designated parking space in front (E). Our secluded cul-de-sac is accessed by Muldoon Rd; a popular road in East Anchorage with many restaurants and shops within arm's reach. Your neighbors consist of military, nurses, and retirees. There are a number of restaurants and shops within walking distance and the nearest bus stop is at the bottom of the hill. With that said, Alaska is a vast place to explore and a car is recommended to get the most for your experience. (Internet Search "Turo 1039688") During winter months, the walkway to your unit (E) may be covered with snow or ice. Walk carefully over the steps to your front door. Please leave your boots on the shoe rack to your right where they can air out properly. In an effort to secure the premises, we've installed a Ring floodlight at the front of the home. The neighborhood is very safe, but this helps us keep an eye on the property :) Occasionally, you may see Mama Bear and her cubs. While they are adorable, please do not touch or go near them. And while they are so cute and look hungry, don't feed them or leave any food or trash in your car. Again, DO NOT LEAVE FOOD IN YOUR CAR OR THEY COULD BREAK IN. If you give Ms. Berenstain and her kids some time, they will migrate off the land :) Moose are equally dangerous. They may appear docile, but please do not pet them. It is best to take photos at a safe distance and/or through a window. We do have a functioning fireplace that you are welcome to use; don't forget to BYOF (bring your own firewood).
