Spend the afternoon at the ocean beach (only two blocks away), then rinse off in the outdoor shower before settling in for a sunset on the sand. Our home sits just outside the bustle of town, on the island’s serene bay side—close enough to walk to everything. Right across the street is the Windswept community day camp that runs from June 28 to August 21, M-F 9am-3pm. It offers sailing lessons, paddleboard and kayak rentals, and even week-long programs for children and grandchildren. Guest access Guests have private access to the entire house, including a private beach area with a garden, overlooking the bay. Enjoy the outdoor seating area with a picnic table, market umbrella and Adirondack chairs, located across from the front door adjacent to a shared walkway that leads to the other 3 houses on the private property. Deer are a natural part of Fire Island life and can occasionally wander close by. We love dogs, but you MUST ask before booking. Please provide information such as age, breed, weight, if it is house-trained, or crate trained, how much barking to expect and for how long it will be left alone at a time. Since we can only rent for periods of 6 nights or more, and we typically are booked at 100% occupancy, we ask that when you book, you don't leave any gaps of less than 6 nights before or after the start or end of the previous or next reservation. If you need items for a baby such as a Pack n' Play, let us know in advance so that we can retrieve them from storage for you.
