The Moulin de la Garrigue gîte is a unique place, both for its timeless charm, its exceptional setting, its green setting, and the river that runs through the site. Miles of hiking trails surround the mill. The geographical location is ideal, located in the Périgord Noir, in Dordogne. Close to Lot and Corrèze, you can visit many sites such as the Gardens of Eyrignac, Sarlat-la-Caneda, the caves of Lascaux, Rocamadour, to name a few. The space The renovated, cozy cottage is adjacent to the mill where we live with our three children. The entrances and terraces are clearly separate and not overlooked. The cottage is spacious, 200 m2, with 4 bedrooms upstairs, and one bedroom on the ground floor. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom with a sink, and shower. The toilets in each bedroom are separate from the bathrooms. The upstairs bedrooms are family suites with a double bed, and a mezzanine with two single beds. The cottage also has a dining room with an open-plan kitchen, a large living room, a laundry room, and a back kitchen. The dining room opens onto the terrace, which is not overlooked. The cottage with stone walls has character. The exteriors are splendid with wooded grounds. Lovers of rural landscapes and fishing will appreciate the river and the headrace that run through the property. The swimming pool, trampoline, boules court, swing, ping-pong table, and soccer field will delight young and old. Outdoor cooking enthusiasts will enjoy the large BBQ and plancha. Other things to note We have a Swiss White Shepherd dog, a cat, and a rabbit. Silène, our dog is very sweet, used to children, and animals. Sorya likes to climb up onto the roof. She is unobtrusive and affectionate. Our rabbit, Pâquerette, has an enclosure with a little house when the weather is nice. Your pets are welcome. The property is not fenced. The river is not deep, but the surroundings are not safe. The use of outdoor equipment and the swimming pool is the responsibility of a responsible adult. The cottage is non-smoking. Bath towels and bed linens are not included in the reservation. The beds are standard size and fitted with duvets. If you wish, we offer a rental package for €10 per person, to be paid on site.
