Just 5 min from Downtown, 25 min from Snowbowl and a great base for seeing Grand Canyon and Sedona! Our beautifully renovated hill-side home is private, nestled on the lower part of a two home property in one of Flagstaff's older neighborhoods. It has gorgeous views from its deck and has nearby hiking. Equipped for a relaxing getaway in the pines or when traveling nearby attractions. Near restaurants, grocery stores and hiking trails. Very well stocked. Friendly attentive hosts. The large furnished back deck with a gorgeous mountain view is definitely what makes this home unique in the summer months. In winter enjoy views from the living room, kitchen and upper bedroom. The house is tucked away on the lower half of a property in an old residential area very close to downtown and a few minutes from walking trailheads. You'll get the feeling you're "in the pines" with the convenience of everything nearby. The home is cozy and updated, everything is clean and well stocked. As frequent travelers, we have tried to ensure that our home is fully equipped for travelers. No need to buy paper towels, toilet paper, laundry soap, shampoo, condiments, or basic spices - it's all there ready for you to live as you do at home. We tried to think of all the appliances you'll need in the kitchen like crockpots, blenders, and baking and cooking dishes. We have also provided the essentials for taking along on picnics like coolers and folding chairs. PLENTY of extra bedding and towels also included. In the 13 years since building the home, we have never had a pet live in it, so it's also great for those who suffer from pet allergies. The house is all yours. It includes fully functioning and stocked laundry, bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen and deck. We have a keypad for entry with a unique code for guests to access the home at any time of day or night. Vanessa is your main host and will set you up with your entry code and answer questions about your reservation. She is one of four part owners of this business/property and one will be a short distance from the home and available to answer questions and help you if need be. The neighborhood is a collection of houses up on a hill overlooking Mount Elden. It's an old neighborhood with everything from brand new to very old homes situated on the hillside. The lot is very private and people comment often on their satisfaction with how quiet the home is. The home is in walking distance of a few restaurants and .2 miles from the nearest bus stop. Your best bet will be to get around Flagstaff by car. It's an awesome city, but not well reputed for it's public transportation so we recommend driving. **Important info on air conditioning below if you're visiting in mid summer months** Our home is on a hillside which means the driveway is on a hill. We shovel promptly during winter storms, but of course like anywhere else in Flagstaff, you may have a delay on big storm days. As noted in the amenities, the three bedrooms of this home are equipped with “on demand” air conditioning units. The lower living room / kitchen area DOES NOT have air conditioning. The fans and windows sufficiently cool the space with the exception of a few occasional nights in summer when Flagstaff gets over 90 degrees. The vast majority of homes and vacation rentals in Flagstaff do not have air conditioning at all, as the heat in our high elevation mountain town simply isn’t frequent enough to necessitate cooling. This home is north/south (passive cooling) facing and has a lot of windows and fans which kept our family very comfortable for 8 years while we lived at this home. Please reach out if you have any other questions about this. You should feel comfortable with windows open and fans on if you plan on visiting in late June-July as this is typically when we experience heat waves.
