Welcome to Yearsley Crescent, situated close to the historic city walls. A twenty-minute walk from all of York's tourist attractions, restaurants, and bars. Including Jorvik Viking Center, York Minster, The York Dungeons, and much more. Maple House offers a great base to explore the historic beautiful city of York and surrounding areas. The space Welcome to Maple House 🏡 — a charming, character-filled home over 100 years old. Lovingly maintained and thoughtfully decorated, the house retains many of its beautiful original features, giving it a cosy, homely feel with a touch of Victorian charm. Maple House offers warm and comfortable accommodation ideal for families or groups of 4–6 guests . We also have a sister property, Cedar House 🌲, located just a few doors down and styled very similarly. If Maple House isn't available—or if you're travelling as a larger group—Cedar House may be perfect. Together, both homes can accommodate up to 12 guests. Just send us a message to check availability ✉️. Layout of the Home 🛋️ Outdoor Space 🌞 A private, enclosed courtyard sits at the rear of the house—safe for children and ideal for pets. This peaceful sun-trap is perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks outdoors. Kitchen & Dining 🍽️ The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook even the largest meals. You’ll find: Pots, pans & serving dishes Cooking utensils Full knife set Oven, grill & hob Microwave Kettle & toaster Fridge/freezer Dishwasher Washing machine Coffee machine ☕ Essentials: salt, pepper & oil Plus all the extra touches: tea towels, cloths, washing-up liquid, bin liners, etc. The open-plan kitchen-diner includes a fold-away table with four chairs, and a highchair is available if needed 👶. Note: the staircase leading off the kitchen is steep due to the age of the property. Bathroom 🛁 The brand-new family bathroom is located on the ground floor. Beautifully tiled in black and white, it features a deep bathtub with an overhead shower. Fresh towels are provided for all guests. Living Room 📺 At the front of the house, the cosy living room offers comfortable seating, an HD Smart TV with streaming apps (Netflix, etc.) for guests to log into, and complimentary WiFi. The sofa converts into a comfortable king-size bed 🛏️ for extra guests. For chillier nights, switch on the electric fire for instant warmth 🔥. Other things to note Quiet hours between 10pm and 8am, we live in a quiet residential street and like to the neighbours happy! Parties, gatherings, and functions of any kind are strictly prohibited on the Airbnb property. Please note that the stairs are fairly steep as it is a victorian property, therefore may not be suitable accommodation for anyone with physical disabilities or young children.
