It's completely self-contained and private, the rooms are spacious and the décor beautiful and fresh. Rates include bed linen, bath & beach towels, wifi, streaming and entertainment options. Why pay more for space you don’t need? The space Our peaceful space is filled with natural light, sea breezes and surrounded by nature. You will have an entire fully self-contained 2 bedroom apartment that's attached to our Durras home; a private entrance and your own deck. Our area's completely separate with no shared spaces. We give you privacy and your own space. 'Banyandah' is a great option for one or two couples or a small family, who want a home to themselves, but don't want to pay for a large house. We also have another small separate bungalow on the property for singles or couples. See listing under "The Shack" South Durras. Our central location on the village side of South Durras is ideal. Everywhere is just a few minutes easy walk. Cookies Beach over the road from us, is very safe for swimming. Murramurang Resort at the end of our street is good for a coffee, bar or takeaway meals or snacks and you can eat by the pool or in the bistro. It's also where the walks start to Murramurang National Park's unspoilt secluded beaches. There are several easy, short walks that reward you with a great beach, often all to yourself. We are also just down from the 'Durras Progress Hall' where you can enjoy casual yoga from yoga teacher, Elise May. Foodies can enjoy the wonderful cafes and eateries north of South Durras such as Cupitt's Winery at Ulladulla, and Milk Haus at Milton. Eurobodalla Botanical Gardens has a great cafe too, now managed by the team from Mossy Point Cafe. South Durras is the South Coast’s best kept secret, wonderfully low key and relaxing, a place to completely unwind. It is a unique village, completely surrounded by National Park and has resisted the push for development. It remains one of the last places that recall your childhood beach holidays. More than that, the unspoilt beaches and majestic forests of towering spotted gums are the place of an immensely important geological feature. You'll see intriguing rock formations rich in fossils reaching back to the ice ages and the effects of volcanic eruptions. South Durras is located about 4 hours drive south of Sydney on the Princes Hwy. It is also 2 hours from Canberra. Guest access Guests have their own private entrance and balcony facing the garden. The entire two bedrooms, living and dining areas, kitchen and bathroom are fully yours while you're here. Other things to note Pantry supplies include tea, coffee, milk, oil, salt, pepper and sugar. Supermarkets and restaurants are 15 minutes away in Bateman's Bay, but there is a takeaway at Murramarang Resort (currently open daily for breakfast and lunch from 8am but dinner varies according to the season. Check with the resort for updates). A small shop with basic supplies is also available at the Resort 8am - 6pm. You have full kitchen facilities that include a family sized fridge, toasted sandwich maker, electric wok, coffee pod machine, toaster, oven, stove and microwave. The hydroponic vegetable farm about 900m on the left after you turn into Durras Drive off the Princess Highway, has wonderful tomatoes (about $6/kg) and fantastic homemade berry ice-cream ($7 a cone). You need cash though as they don't take credit cards. The Enhance petrol station at the Durras Drive turn off sells alcohol and a larger range of basics that the Resort shop.
