Located in the heart of the village, La Maison du Ballandreau is an 18th-century residence that has been fully renovated. Restaurants, shops, markets, services, and entertainment are just down the street! Enjoy a peaceful enclosed garden, a large heated swimming pool (open from mid-April to mid-October) protected by a low wall (1.10 m high), and a lovely covered terrace, as well as seven bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom with toilet. Air conditioning on the ground floor and second floor. The space La Maison du Ballandreau is ideal for a group holiday. Its layout and location offer the conviviality of shared moments on the terrace, by the pool, and in the peaceful garden; the absolute comfort of spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom (shower or bathtub) and toilet; and the freedom for everyone to set their own pace and enjoy their own activities, thanks to walking access to all the village's shops. It is a mansion with harmonious volumes and clean and refined decoration. Its garden embellished with a spacious swimming pool (12m x 4m) open all year round, heated from sunny days (mid-April) until autumn (mid-October), a large covered terrace of 35m2 offers a green and peaceful decor in the heart of the bastide. After two years of work involving local artisans and shopkeepers, the house has regained its original proportions and some remarkable interior decorative elements from the 17th and 18th centuries: alcoves, fireplaces, terracotta tiles, ceilings, and more. The materials used were chosen for their durability and quality: Spanish marble, Gironde tiles, wood, and lime-based paints, among others. The furniture and the colours of the walls create a soft, warm decor that is in keeping with the house’s history. The house can accommodate 15 guests (14 beds, 1 convertible baby cot, and 2 extra beds) and features four beautiful and harmonious living rooms on the ground floor, as well as a kitchen and an air-conditioned bedroom that meets accessibility standards. On the first floor, 3 spacious bedrooms have been furnished and embellished with 3 bathrooms (2 showers and a bathtub). On the 2nd floor you have 3 additional bedrooms, air-conditioned and individually adjusted, and 3 bathrooms (2 showers and 1 bathtub) and the crib. Each room in the house has an area of more than 20m². The bedding is of quality, Epeda brand. The village of Monségur is a medieval bastide organized around a square whose hall hosts a market with delicious local products every Tuesday and Friday morning, as well as a gourmet and dancing market every Wednesday evening in the summer. Several restaurants, cafes and bars, a high quality pastry shop (finalist of the show “La Meilleure Boulangerie de France”), an Art and Essai cinema, art galleries, hairdressers, a local supermarket, doctors, nurses offer a rich fabric of entertainment and services that you can enjoy less than 5 minutes from the house. On foot too, you will be able to take a very nice walk along the Dropt. Monségur is located in Entre-Deux-Mers with multiple assets: its hilly landscapes, its heritage (many bastides, abbeys, remarkable villages and castles), its wine routes, its gastronomy (several starred restaurants 30 minutes away)... Convenient access: • Bordeaux 1 hour by car; • Bordeaux airports at 1h10; • Bergerac Airport 50 minutes away; • Paris at 3h by train (arrival at La Réole station 15 min from Monségur by car). From the end of June to the end of August, bookings are for Saturday to Saturday stays with a minimum duration of 7 nights. If you would like to celebrate an event up to 70 people (christenings, birthdays, engagement...) during your stay; please mention this mandatory when requesting to book.
