Bay Tree Cottage is a delightful, cosy & private retreat, centrally located with easy access by road or train (M1, M6, A14). You have the entire cottage to yourself with private off road parking for 3 cars & private front & rear gardens. Fully equipped kitchen with dining area & Utility room. Living room with 60" TV, Sky, DVD & log burner. Bathroom with shower & entrance Hall 1st floor: Main bedroom - King size bed & 50"TV, Second bedroom with Double Bed & Wardrobe, Bathroom with Roll top bath. The space Welcome to Bay Tree Cottage, your cosy and private retreat! It's easy self check-in. Our approach is that from the minute you arrive it is your home from home, we will only come to you at your request if you should need any help with anything related to the cottage. The Cottage is Victorian, built in 1895 of red brick with an unusual tiled roof designed by a Dutch Architect. It's one of two cottages which were built for farm workers for the local estate. It has recently been updated but has retained its character & friendly atmosphere. The Cottage is very private, backs onto fields and overlooks wonderful views of the countryside. The fields are often occupied by a flock of sheep and lambs from the local farm together with lots of wildlife. The location offers a number of interesting local walks and is a great base to explore Northamptonshire. It's conveniently located for Northampton, Market Harborough, Warwick, Rugby, Kettering & Corby. 5 minutes from Long Buckby Station which has regular direct trains from London Euston (which take approx. 1 hour). A pick up from the Station can be pre arranged on request. There are many places of interest which are close by, Holdenby House approx. 1 mile away, Althorp House 2 miles away, Coton Manor 3 miles. Also within very easy access there's Kelmarsh Hall, Silverstone race circuit, Leicester Race Course, Towcester Race Course and Donnington Park. In the village a 2 minute walk away is the Red Lion pub which has a very high reputation for excellent food, serves food most of the day including full English breakfast. There are other very good pubs in local villages who also offer great dining experiences. There are 2 Indian restaurants, 2 Chinese restaurants and 1 Fish and chip shop in Long Buckby which is 5 minutes away who offer delivery services. The closest shops for food and supplies are in Long Buckby which is a 5 minute drive away. There is a Coop supermarket and Cost Cutter store, Artisan bakery and chemist. An ATM is situated close to the Coop. There is also a food hall in Harlestone garden centre approx. 4 miles away. The closest farm shop is Smith's Farm Shop in Chapel Brampton (4 miles away) which also has a Cafe. For online Grocery delivers there is Sainsburys, ASDA and Waitrose in Northampton who deliver to the area. What's available in the Cottage? Two bedrooms one has a King Size Bed with Simba Luxe mattress & the other has a Double Bed with Hypnos mattress, both with lovely bedding. There is a 50" TV in the Main Bedroom. All rooms have Blackout Blinds. Beautiful Roll top bath to relax in, alternatively a power shower with soaps etc. provided along with quality towels & hair dryer. Fully equipped Kitchen: Smeg Ceramic Hob & Oven, Microwave, Air fryer, Fridge, Dishwasher, Electric kettle, Bosch Tassimo Coffee maker, Cafetière. Tea, coffee & sugar provided. Utility Room: Indesit Washer/Dryer, (Fridge/freezer for longer stays), Ironing Board & Steam Iron. Living Room: 60" TV with Sky Q, DVD/CD player, selection of DVD's, Books, Board Games for the whole family, Log Burner available for cosy winter evenings (please ask host for more information), Central Heating controls. Communication: Fast BT Internet with strong Wifi signal. Safety: Smoke & Carbon monoxide detectors, Fire extinguisher, Security locks on all doors and windows, First Aid Kit. Guest access You will have full private use of the Cottage which has its own entrance and parking for up to 3 vehicles. You have exclusive use of the front and rear gardens with private outside dining and seating area with a large lawn. We are therefore committed to do whatever we can to ensure that everything we do at Bay Tree Cottage is as environmentally responsible as it can be. - Our energy comes from sustainable sources - The Cottage is insulated to a high level of efficiency - We re-cycle as much as possible - Blue Bin = Recycle Black Bin = Household waste Brown Bin = Garden waste - We try and source all produce from local providers - Products that are imported are normally carbon neutral - We water the Gardens from water butts where possible Anything you can do to help us with this during your stay will be greatly appreciated.
