Welcome to our Georgia Bulldog Themed " Dawg House" where you'll enjoy a quaint and cozy stay w/ easy access to downtown Athens, UGA, Sanford Stadium, UGA Golf, and the state botanical garden. The basement space is filled from floor to ceiling with UGA memorabilia dating back to the 1920's. The space offers 2 bedrooms each w/ king bed, a theater room w/ sectional, living room with plenty of seating, a dining room, full bath, & a weight room. Located minutes from everything UGA and Athens, GA. The space The house, nestled in a very quiet Athens neighborhood, was completed in 2009, and provides easy access to and from the city. Situated almost directly in the middle of College Station Rd. and Milledge Ave. when coming directly off GA 10 - Loop. The property is located roughly 10 minutes from downtown Athens, Sanford Stadium, Stegeman Coliseum, and just about everything University of Georgia specific, 3-minutes from UGA's golf course (three turns), 5-minutes from the State Botanical Gardens (four turns), a short drive to Foley Field, Stegeman Coliseum, Jack Turner Soccer and Softball stadium, the Classic Center, and roughly 15-minutes from downtown Watkinsville. You are close enough to enjoy any UGA event, exquisite dining, the Classic Center concerts & events, and secluded enough to get away from the hustle and bustle. The basement "Dawg Cave" features well over 2000 sq. ft. for you to enjoy, central heating and air, Wi-Fi, microwave, coffee maker, dedicated work desk space, a fully functional gym, a large eagle claw oak dining table (for delivery meals or a game of cards) and a full-size refrigerator. Both bedrooms offer a comfortable king bed. The living room area offers a deep high end Mitchell Gold & Bob Williams sofa, two Mitchell Gold & Bob Williams leather chairs, and enough vintage UGA memorabilia to keep you from ever having to turn on the TV. Just a few steps away is a fully functional weight room with Smith machine, free weights, set of dumbbells, a thread mill, exercise bike, and elliptical. The theater room is where you can watch a movie (Hulu or Netflix), play board games, or just relax with a cup of coffee or adult beverage. Guest access Parking is available on the premises - a dedicated concrete slab right off the main driveway allows for safe and secure parking. Security cameras are positioned throughout the property to add an extra sense of security for you. Guests have access to the "Dawg Cave" basement by following a well manicured walking path to the basement door after parking. There are stepping stones and railroad tie steps on the path to guide your way. Guest are encouraged to relax outside the basement in the seating area when not at the game or concert. We will be happy to answer any questions or just let you enjoy your space, just let us know. Keyless entry allows for easy access into the space upon your arrival. We do live upstairs on premises however, the house is set-up where you access the "Dawg Cave" basement without entering the rest of the house. Other things to note Security - our neighborhood is incredibly safe and quiet. Your safety is always our first priority. Cameras are installed on the exterior of the property to watch your vehicle. Security cameras are also in the commons areas of the basement. You'll know why when you see the Georgia Bulldog collection that our family has been adding to for over 30 years. Enjoy the outdoors? We are conveniently located near the State Botanical Garden, hiking at the intramural field trails or botanical garden, the University of Georgia's campus, Foley Field, Stegman Coliseum, Dan MaGill Tennis or Jack Turner Family (Soccer & Softball) Complex, the Firefly biking trail, and the University's highly rated golf course. All of this is just minutes away. We do have one small dog. Our dog is very friendly and loves people. The dog stays upstairs in our part of the house. The dog does spend a very limited amount of time in the yard. She will bark occasionally. If you have any concerns with the dog let us know and we will be mindful of her whereabouts.
