Lake Malawi - Mbondo Cottage @Namaso Bay

Mbondo Cottage is located on one of the most tranquil bays along Lake Malawi’s western shores offering perfect sunrises. Wake up to birdsong and fishermen coming in with their catch in time for a lunch of Chambo (tilapia), take a walk along the beautiful beach. The shallow waters of the shoreline also offer some relaxing swimming. Catch a drink as the sun sets. Trips to Lake Malawi National Park and Cape Maclear can be arranged. The space The main Cottage has 4 bedrooms of which 2 are en-suite. All rooms have been fitted with air conditioners. There is a large equipped kitchen and a living and dining area. The large verandah (khonde) runs along the front of all the rooms affords some relaxing seating outside the cottage. There are also spots in the garden under natural tree shade that guests may enjoy. The mango orchard at the back of the property is in full bloom from November to February and guests are welcome to take some home. Smart Tv offers guests opportunity to catch up on current news, sport and movies. A back-up generation is on standby in case of power outages. Guest access The cottage is surrounded by the locals’ villages and there is an access dirt road from the main Mangochi Road to the cottage Other things to note This is a self catering unit and so guest must make sure they have provisions of food, water, beverages and vegetables and other necessities for their stay. Please provide your own towels in the interest of safety and hygiene though towels are available. Guests are advised to bring along their own towels especially for use on the beach. A caretaker with moderate cooking skills is available at extra charge and guests may opt for this service at time of booking. Otherwise guests will have the place to themselves. Complimentary Pocket WiFi of 32Gb is available. Guests will have to replenish the GB if depleted at their own cost . Details on site.
