Villa Poggio in Mandria in Chianti

Villa Poggio a Mandria is the gateway to the Chianti; it is a good base to reach the most beautiful art cities of Tuscany (Arezzo, Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra) in about one hour time. On the surrounding hills there are medieval villages, which offer visitors a charming atmosphere of the past and the opportunity to take walks in an unspoiled countryside. The space It is a private villa (it was a bed and breakfast until 2014, now we rent it entirely). It is set in a beautiful olive grove of about seven hectares, within the homonymous farm; in the farm we cultivate olive trees and vineyards from which we produce extra virgin olive oil and Chianti wine. The Villa has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms: On the ground floor there is the new bedroom: the Timo room is a double bedroom with its own private indoor bathroom. It has a very convenient access, without stairs, and overlooks the pool and garden directly. On the first floor there is the Rosmarino room, a romantic triple room with a double bed and a single bed; given its size (24 square meters), it offers the possibility of comfortably adding a cot for children. Comfortable and furnished with small details, with ceilings with wooden beams and bricks and terracotta floors, respecting the typical Tuscan tradition. From the room you will enjoy a marvelous view of the valley and of the surrounding woods. It has a large bathroom with tub and shower. Upstairs there are the other three bedrooms: the Salvia room (double but if necessary, on request, the double bed can be converted into two separate single beds); the large Ortensia room (double plus a single bed) and a bathroom inside the room; finally the Lavanda room, completely renovated, with a new private bathroom inside the room. All our rooms therefore now have their own private bathroom. They are also all equipped with air conditioning and from each one of them guests can enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Air conditioning is also in the main kitchen / living room on the first floor and in the new kitchen on the ground floor, as well as in the laundry room available for guests, located on the first floor of the house. Guest access Guests will rent the whole villa (which is completely fenced) , plus a large private parking and a private infinity swimming pool. They will also benefit of a laundry and an ironing room equipped with washing machine, at the first floor. The garden, very scenic, is equipped with relaxation area with loungers,umbrellas and a pergola with a relax setting; moreover you will find a dining /lunch area: a terracotta paved terrace, shaded by a pergola and furnished with a wooden table, chairs and a wonderful BBQ. While dining al fresco the wonderful views can be admired through the olive trees. : at the ground floor our guests will have a service toilet and a new second kitchen for their meals outside!!! Other things to note There are many activities to do in the area; including 7 UNESCO World Heritage Sites - Florence 50 km - Siena 45 km - Arezzo 40 km - Cortona 65 km - Chianti area with wine tasting - Pisa and Lucca - San Gimignano and Monteriggioni - Montalcino and Pienza with Brunello wine tasting and pecorino cheese tasting - Assisi and Perugia - Crete Senesi - Thermal bath in Rapolano or Bagno Vignoni; - Tirrenian Coast (a full day trip to the seaside). IN THE SURROUNDING: • The Rose Garden Fineschi in Cavriglia, which boasts the largest collection of roses in Europe; • the town of Loro Ciuffenna with its medieval bridge and the Romanesque church of Gropina; • the rural museum of Gaville, with its eighteenth-century mill still intact; • Galatrona Tower in Mercatale Valdarno.
