Albion House is a stunning Georgian period house set in the heart of the Suffolk Heritage Coast. The house and its stables dates to 1750’s and both have been tastefully renovated over two floors. This elegant town house and cottage sleep fourteen guests and are ideal for families, larger groups and group family holidays seeking a relaxing stay. This hideaway is perfect for short breaks and is ideal as a base for touring the picturesque Suffolk coastal area from the market town of Saxmundham. It is a wonderful holiday base throughout the year, with coast, countryside, culture & food on the doorstep. Days at the beach, sailing, horse-riding, fishing, birdwatching, relaxing galore! This lovely elegant Georgian property is in the heart of Saxmundham on Albion street, 500 yards from the high street and all the amenities. Albion House is a lovely home, full of character and exceptionally comfortable, clean and well-equipped, including the use of unlimited Wi-Fi and super fast broadband. Albion House is close to an excellent selection of shops, restaurants, characterful pubs, excellent art galleries and a museum. The house is also a few paces from a very good fish and chip shop on the high street. There are excellent restaurants just a couple of minutes walk away - The Bell, the Crown Inn are all excellent as well as several others. As you drive away 10 minutes from the house you will find Aldeburgh's promenade and beach in one direction, and the high street just yards away the other way. Despite the perfect location, the house is delightfully peaceful. Albion House comes with two parking spots: one inside the driveway and one right opposite Albion's house black gates. There is also public parking just outside the house. Albion house has been re-furbished in a light but luxurious style and has been brought into the 21st century, with contemporary kitchen and bathroom and very comfy furnishings. It has its own wine cellar too for wine tasting activities or to host your own virtual wine party (you can rent the venue and we can supply the wine for a fee). On the ground floor it has a lovely cosy living room, a drawing room and dining space with a well-equipped kitchen, cloakroom and a utility room. There is a private sunny courtyard with outside furniture too. On the first floor it has four bedrooms; a master bedroom which is spacious and peaceful with Georgian sash windows and a metal frame king size bed. There is also a second bedroom with a lovely sleigh king sized bed, through the second bedroom you can get access to the third bedroom, which has a single bed and a pull out bed/trundle bed in a narrow space. We also have a fourth bedroom which is furnished with another single bed and a pull out bed/trundle bed in a narrow space, of metal frame and superior quality mattresses, covered with natural linen. Albion House is an elegant period property, full of character and exceptionally comfortable. We provide complimentary toiletries and essential pantry items such as coffee, tea, sugar, biscuits, salt and pepper. We also provide household essentials such as washing up liquid, cling film wrap, foil paper and cleaning products. Albion House's stables, that was once fully functioning has been tastefully renovated and converted into a comfortable 1 bedroom flint cottage. Stable cottage has been re-furbished in a light but luxurious style and has been brought into the 21st century, with contemporary kitchen and bathroom and very comfy furnishings. On the ground floor it has a lovely cosy living room and dining space with a well-equipped kitchen. There is a beautiful sunny courtyard with outside furniture too. On the first floor it has a master bedroom, which is spacious and peaceful with a solid wood frame double bed and superior quality mattress, covered with natural linen. There is also a lovely light and airy shower room with all the essentials. Stable cottage retains its original period features throughout but is very light and airy with every modern comfort and furnished to a very high standard. Public parking is also available outside Albion House in Albion Street or Chapel road. You are welcome to park your vehicles on the road opposite the black gates of Albion House on Chapel road. During the holidays parking can be limited. In that case there is public parking in the residential streets nearby along Chapel road or a play and display car park 5 minutes walk from the cottage near the train station. Other things to note This beautiful Georgian house is full of charm and character. Albion House has its Stables that has been converted into a one bedroom self-contained Romantic Flint Cottage: Stable Cottage. The main entry to Stable cottage is through Albion House's black iron gates. It's a shared courtyard with Albion House. If you are a large group or a group family holiday you can rent both Albion House and Stable Cottage which sleep up to 14 guests.
