The Quinta is located on the north coast of Terceira Island, in the parish of Quatro Ribeiras. This parish is situated on a rocky massif by the sea, at an elevated level, and is crossed by four streams, Ribeira Grande, Ribeira Pequena, Ribeira Seca and Ribeira do Almeida, a fact that gives it its name. According to history, this was the landing site of the Portuguese discoverers and the first settlement on the island. The Quinta is well located about 250 meters from the center of the parish, about 200 meters from the mini-market and 500 meters from the Quatro Ribeiras bathing area, commonly known as the Quatro Ribeiras Natural Pools. About 5 km away, you can also find the famous natural pools of Freguesia dos Biscoitos. Despite its northern location, the Quinta is only 14 km from Lajes airport and 17 km from the city of Praia da Vitória. The city of Angra do Heroísmo is located about 21 km to the south, taking only 25 minutes by car through the interior of the island, where you can observe the beautiful landscapes and local flora, as well as the grazing lands of the wild bulls used in the famous bullfighting on the island of Terceira. Every year on the first Wednesday and Thursday of August there is the traditional running of the bulls by rope in the parish of Quatro Ribeiras, which can be observed from the Quinta.
