Cabin is nestled in a quiet peaceful woods on 10 private acres, located in Allegany County, NY - on a dirt road (which is plowed by the town) with an occasional car passing by. Perfect place to relax and enjoy your time in the country with no worries. Sleeps 4 to 6 people (extra charge after 4 people) You can enjoy the well marked walking trails (1 mi) or just relax on the porch. Hear the chirping of the birds, crickets, and see the deer and stars at night. Outdoor fire pit if you want to enjoy a romantic crackling fire or S'mores. Well maintained cabin for private rental, vacation home or relaxing getaway. We are looking for responsible guests to enjoy staying here. For hikers - its a nice 5 mile hike on the roads to go 'around the block.' Or, for wooded hiking there is Letchworth State Park (and for the little ones, there is an easy, one mile trail in the woods at the cabin (clear and well marked). Great place for a romantic get-away, small girls / guys or small family get-together. Maximum guests = 6 Other things to note Note: December 1 - March 31, we recommend 4WD or AWD vehicles only. Depending on snow conditions, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to drive your vehicle closer than 200 ft to the cabin due to snow depths and the road plows filling in the driveway entrance (we don't plow the driveway any longer due to significant damage in previous years). Our 4WD pickup climbs over the pile without any issues most all the time. Winter is a special time at the Cozy Cabin though! The trails are generally passable with hundreds of tracks (deer, fox, raccoon and others) crisscrossing the landscape. The Hemlock area when its covered with snow is about as quiet as you can get. Hike back there and sit on the bench and listen to the silence. If you are up for a little adventure, the solitude and peace you will find are well worth it!
