House Buchu is a heritage house and Num-num Cottage is a charming village hide-away right next to each other and overlooking the Village Green in beautiful Stanford. Small shops and restaurants are literally around the corner, church and school bells gently mark the day, and the river is but a stroll away. Stanford is in the picturesque coastal countryside of the Overstrand, a heritage village comfortably settled in its history and community, but young at heart and welcoming to all. The space House Buchu is a heritage house within walking distance of all that Stanford has to offer. It's a 3-bedroom, 2 bathroom house with plenty of space for the whole family. There is the lounge with a fireplace, games table, upright piano and TV; the indoors BBQ and dining area (a 'braai-room") with another TV, the front stoep with a village-view and the large back garden with exceptional birdlife and a pool. The kitchen is small but well-equipped... even a dishwasher, and with a hatch to the braai-room. Fibre fast wifi enables you to work or play fully connected. The Android TV-box is pre-connected to Netflix and full DSTV, and gives access to all your own streaming accounts. The property is fully fenced and pet friendly. In preparation for load shedding (government scheduled power outages) there is UPS on the wifi, ensuring at least 4 hours continuance of wifi during outages. The gas stove (and braai-room!) provide cooking facilities and we have a combination of recharging bulbs, solar lamps and candles for comfortable lighting. Guest access When you book House Buchu, we hand you the keys and the space is fully yours. You have full access to the house, and the large garden and pool. Other things to note House Buchu can be booked with Num-num Cottage for bigger groups - the two are right next to each other with interleading gates. Num-num can accommodate up to 3 adults (double and single bed). Stanford is a small town with a big heart, offering some of the best in the Overstrand: real country living; outstanding restaurants; river, veld, mountain, beach & farm activities; award winning wine, beer & cheesemakers; regular markets with fresh and artisanal produce; antiques & collectables; and fiber-fast internet connection! From fast food to gourmet meals are available in town, to eat in, take away or delivered to your door. Stanford is perfectly situated to also give easy access to all that the neighbouring towns of Hermanus and Gansbaai have to offer, from whale watching, shark cage diving and world class gholf courses to exceptional shopping opportunities and top medical facilities.
