The Vinterveien Cabin

Just 10 meters from the water edge of lake Store Erte, you will find Vinterveikoia. The old cabin was built in 1959 og was used as a forestcabin, where forestworkers lived while working in the area. With an outhouse and solarpanel to supply electricity, the cabin give an authentic feeling of being far from the noise and business of the cities. With practically no celluar service, you will get a true experience of Norwegian nature, with no disturbances. The space Vinterveikoia is located deep in the forest in Halden, and is surrounded by trees, wildlife and silence. Here you have access to great hiking areas, with places such as Nansen Hotel (accommodation for Fridtjof Nansen), in addition to a large network of trails that provides great cycling experiences. The cabin consists of two buildings, one of which contains a living room with kitchen and living room, as well as two bedrooms. The other building contains bedrooms, and a room with a bio toilet as well as firewood and other equipment. Guest access The whole cabin is exclusively for the guests. Other things to note 1. The cabin has no WiFi or cellular service. 2. The cabin is equipped with a gas stove and gas fridge. 3. There is no plumbing, but there is a biotoilet. 4. There is road all the way to the cabin. 5. Two of the beds are located in a separate building 6. Solar cell panel is 12V, and gives only lighting.
