Solar Holiday House

This is a tranquil escape in an eco-village, designed to be the ultimate in rest and relaxation. Walk for 5 minutes to the pristine beach as well as restaurants with excellent food. Cape Point and Kommetjie is 10 minutes away. Cape Town city is 45 minutes' drive. The deli in Scarborough sells fresh organic produce. You can walk, hike, swim, surf, kite, eat, drink, sleep without ever getting into your car. The space This solar powered timber house has three bedrooms on of which has an en suite bathroom. All bedrooms are upstairs but other bathrooms are downstairs one with easy access from the beach. The lounge and dining area is open plan to the kitchen leading on to the deck area. In addition there is a self contained cottage which sleeps another two people in the loft bedroom which is accessed by ladder. The cottage too has a lounging area, kitchenette and bathroom with deck and access to the pool. We have recently received a review stating that the house is not suitable for toddlers as there is no railing on the deck that is 750 metres high or that the stairs to the main bedroom does not have a railing. Although many toddlers have stayed there and our own children grew up there be warned if you find it difficult to relax without window safety catches and railings. Guest access The property is to rent either as the main house on this site (6 people) or the cottage under Seagull Cottage (2 people) or for 8 people under this site when both the cottage and the house is rented to one group. From the period 9 May 2021 to 30 November 2021 please check with me before you book to see if cottage is available. Other things to note The swimming pool is not enclosed so the house may not be safe for toddlers or children who cannot swim. The pool now has a cover and although swimming it permitted please cover the pool after use to prevent high levels of evaporation. Please note we have a TV in the main bedroom but no TV channels. You can watch your own Netflix/Showmax etc through the internet. This is a place to relax and escape the every day bad news we are bombarded with.
