I can't stop talking about the water and mountain views! Sit on your wrap-around deck and enjoy the Olympic Mountains to the west & Admiralty Inlet to the north. You can even see the Port Townsend ferry and beyond to the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Located on a quiet, dead-end street near Bush Point, this house sleeps 4-6, and has a daylight basement with XBox, ping pong, mini-foosball, mini-air hockey. Centrally located on Whidbey. This 1680 sq ft house has 2 floors. -- The main level has an open floor plan with living, dining, kitchen; sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms with queen beds; a full bathroom; laundry facilities. -- Access to the basement is through the 2nd bedroom. A privacy screen is provided in case you want to close off the bedroom. -- The finished basement has an open space with living room furniture, 55" TV with XBox (connect to your account), ping pong, and a table where you can spread out the games, poker chips, puzzles, table-top air hockey and foosball; a 3/4 bathroom (i.e. shower); sleeps 2 in a bunk bed. For an additional $50 fee, a queen air mattress can be provided. The TV reception on both levels is via internet streaming. Watch live on Sling, or connect to your account on Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. The full kitchen has everything you need for comfortable living & eating when you are not out exploring the island. Help yourself to seasonal fruit from the trees that are on the property. The owner typically leaves you alone. But she lives nearby & is easily reached via text, phone or email. Whidbey Island is a great vacation spot, whether you just want a weekend away from Seattle, a week's vacation with the kids & dog, or 2 months out of the Arizona summer. The house is located about 4 miles from the town of Freeland, which is known for where South Whidbey locals shop for their daily needs. Tourists will typically drive the 20 minutes to the towns of Langley or Coupeville, which offer more restaurants, gift shopping, and activities. The larger town of Oak Harbor is 35 minutes away. The house provides a guidebook to help you decide about activities, restaurants, shopping. Island County offers a free bus on weekdays, but car or bike is recommended for touring the 48-mile long island. Access the island from the north via Deception Pass Bridge and from the south via WA state ferry from Mukilteo to Clinton. Discounts for longer stays: a week is 15% off, a month or longer is 30% off. Month-long stays don't require WA state tax so that adds another 10.8% off. Dogs are welcome for a $30 *per dog* fee. Sorry, no cats. Since Airbnb only offers 1 field for dog fee, fee for additional dogs will be collected on-site. Base price includes 2 queen beds, sleeping up to 4 guests. Sleep 5-6 for an additional $15/person/night price for the bunk bed. Queen air mattress available upon request for an additional $50/stay.
