Cottage Kille Abbey rural retreat

Away from the hustle and bustle of city life Cottage Kille Abbey is the ideal place to wind down and appreciate the natural surroundings. This 200 year old stone cottage is set in half acre of mature garden surrounded by trees. It is the perfect spot for a romantic get away or to just chill out and relax. It is ideally situated to tour all the amenities of the west of Ireland. An area of 80 Sq Mtrs comprises 2 double bedrooms a bathroom with shower toilet and wash basin upstairs. A sunny sitting room with TV and DVD player is also located upstairs. Downstairs there is an open plan dining and well equipped kitchen area complete with dish washer gas cooker with oven and fridge. There is a wood burning stove which runs the central heating. A quirky home from home The space Cottage Kille Abbey is situated 3 kms from the local village of Shrule which has a well stocked local store supplying locally produced foodstuffs and a delicatessen. The cottage has expansive views across the surrounding verdant countryside and it is within easy reach of local beauty spots such as Cong village and Lough Corrib. As I feed the birds throughout the year there is ever-present chorus of birdsong emanating from the surrounding tress. A very tranquil contemplative spot in which to sit and relax. Guest access The cottage is totally self-contained with access to the veranda and the garden and ample parking facilities. Other things to note I have found over the last year that guests who stay for two or more nights find the cottage very relaxing and prefer to make shorter trips to local areas like Cong, Westport etc. and say it is ideally centrally situated to visit all areas. Guests who only stay for one night invariably wish they had stayed for longer. Well behaved children are welcome.
