The garden is nicely landscaped and overlooks a pond, filled with many variety of birds and turtles. The pond is a popular bird watching habitat especially in winter months. We live in a secluded, landscaped neighborhood. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing space, THIS is the place for you. The space Please be sure to read ALL house rules and "other things to note" below, before completing your booking. The room is spacious and is upstairs (about 19 steps) with private bathroom. You have a terrific view of the garden, pool and pond. Enjoy breakfast or read a book on our outside porch or take a nap in the hammock. The guest room is within our home and even though you will have as much privacy as you wish, you will be steps away from the kitchen/living/dining room for breakfast and conversation. We will also provide books for your reading pleasure, and literature/information about the island, activities to do, places to see and dining recommendations. NOTE: even though we can only sleep 2 persons in this room, we have another room downstairs (subject to availability) if there are 4 persons in your group . We could offer at a special rate should both rooms be required at the same time. Guest access Backyard, front and back porch/deck, pool. These areas may be shared with other guests on property( never more than 2) During your stay My husband and I both have experience in the tourism field with past and present jobs and it would be our pleasure to offer recommendations and suggestions of what to do and see based on your interests. We will help you with getting around the island. We know all the nice beaches, restaurants and other points of interest. This is a room in our home so you will have as much or as little interaction as you wish. Your shared spaces are only shared with us ( and no more than 2 other guests) and 99% of the time it will only be you: (unlike other airbnb rentals that are apartments in a resort or apartment building where you share with other guests.) NOTE: due to the increase of food costs I can no longer offer free breakfast but breakfast will be available. The price per person will be displayed in your room and would require advance notice for the following day. Other things to note NOTE: WE BEGAN AIRBNB TO PROVIDE VISITORS TO OUR ISLAND A SAFE AND COMFORTABLE PLACE TO STAY. WE LIVE ON PROPERTY SO PLEASE DON"T WASTE OUR TIME AND YOURS IF IT IS YOUR INTENTION TO RENT THIS SPACE AS A PARTY HANGOUT FOR THE WEEKEND OR A MOTEL ROOM FOR "BOOTY CALLS". Pick up and drop off to/from airport/harbour for $15 each way. Property is solar powered so power outages are not a problem. Coffee maker in room. Microwave downstairs may be used for reheating food. We also have bicycles for use (free) if you wish to ride. Our neighborhood is safe to walk through, if walking is your thing. The beach walk is 40 min. and secluded, suitable for swimming and beach combing.
