Designed For: - Individuals, couples, and small families seeking a peaceful and rejuvenating escape. Frank’s house on Cheung Chau Island is not just a home but a cherished legacy, deeply rooted in family history and the architectural brilliance of our late Godfather. His vision and love for the island, evident since the 1980s, have been preserved and revitalised. The house, once a weekend retreat for him to escape the hustle of Hong Kong, has now become a sanctuary for our family and others, offering a peaceful, green space where children can play freely and memories can be made. The renovation project we undertook in 2016 was a labor of love, balancing modernisation with the preservation of the home’s original character. The result is a space that honours its past while serving as a functional and welcoming environment for your family and guests. The island’s tranquil atmosphere, lack of cars, and sense of safety make it an ideal place for your children to explore and grow. Our shared experiences—gardening, beach trips, outdoor dinners, and gathering around fires—reflect a deep connection to nature and simplicity. During the challenging COVID years, our decision to open this home to others enable a sense of normalcy to others also unable to travel. By continuing to share this special place, we hope to honour our Godfather’s legacy but also creating opportunities for others to build their own cherished memories on Cheung Chau. It’s a testament to the enduring power of family, community, and the love of a place that feels like home. Guest access One of the best things about the island is that there are no cars. You can hire bikes or go by foot. The house has private access through the garden gate. Other things to note Just to note that guests will need to walk uphill, and will encounter some stairs on the way up, so pack accordingly, bags with wheels are perfect, and avoid high heels :). Pls see note about truck hire for bags, if required.
