Ostrich House: A Boutique Farm Stay Near NBI

Our quaint and cozy self catered farm cottage is set in a 500 acre mature fruit farm and is perfect for families or groups of friends looking for a weekend getaway or a midweek break. We have resident ostriches at the farm that you can feed. The farm offers ample opportunity for discovery and adventure with guided farm tours, fruit picking, hiking, biking and fishing available on the property. Great location to have some rest and relaxation. Please note this is not a party house! The space The house is a renovation offering all the amenities you could want for a comfortable stay. There is a housekeeper available to assist with cleaning, washing up and basic cooking tasks. The property is self catered and we recommend that you bring your food and drinks with you as there is no decent grocery shop in the area. A chef is available on prior request at an extra charge, who will prepare your ingredients for you. Please note there are 3 rooms that sleep 6 adults Room 1 - Bedroom in the main house with x1 king bed Room 2 - 1x king bed semi-detached from the house with entry through the patio Room 3 - 1 x king detached for extra privacy and separate veranda There is a shaded patio under a grape vine with ample seating and a barbeque area in the main house We have 6 resident ostriches in our property and you can feed them from outside their enclosure. There are plenty of exotic fruit trees around the house and our staff will be delighted to show you around. You are most welcome to pick some fresh ingredients for your meals. We also have large dams dotted around the farm which are excellent for a spot of fishing or just relaxing. The cottage is situated in a fenced up area within the farm and is very secure. Kindly note that as we are in a very natural landscape, we tend to have a variety of insects within the property. Ostrich House is situated within easy reach to outdoor adventures such as white water rafting in Sagana, Castle Forest Lodge, Chania Falls, and Ragati Forest. It is the gateway to the Northern circuit. Guest access The property has adequate parking space and guests get guided tours on the farm. You will get to see various plantations from dragon fruit farms, pomegranate, mango, avocado trees, private dams, and a river that you can fish from. Other things to note We do not have Wifi but have strong mobile service at the farm. We have a back up generator in case of power cuts that is switched on between 6am - 8am and 6pm - 10.30pm. Please make sure that children are supervised at all times, especially around the ostriches. The housekeeper will not perform child minding duties. We provide nanny quarters if advance notice is provided. There are snakes around the property but if you don't disturb them they wont disturb you! At night we have guard dogs on the property, under no circumstances must you leave the fenced house area at night time. In addition, our own friendly dogs are inside the fenced area at night, they may come and say hello! When you are making a booking please indicate the correct number of guests so that you get an accurate price quotation. The price varies according to the number of guests As we are situated in a natural and wild setting surrounded by a 550 acre fruit farm, we tend to have a variety of insects and geckos.
