Welcome to Kealfadda Bridge House! Situated directly on the Wild Atlantic Way in West Cork, between Schull & Goleen, Toormore, Co. Cork, Ireland our Private Property is a perfect starting point for nature walks, sightseeing, visits to nearby beaches, bird watching, island trips & much more. Relax, unwind & enjoy! We love to share our quiet Paradise with you. The space Our Open Space Self Catering Garden Cottage was an original Irish Dwelling House. It is suitable for a couple (2 persons). Upstairs, a double bed invites you to snuggle up and admire the stars. The comfortable sofa bed in the living room offers space for another person, maybe your teenage child, to relax on. In the fully-equipped kitchen (fridge, dishwasher, cooker with oven, toaster, kettle, pans/pots, crockery, tea/coffee), breakfast can be prepared and then enjoyed in the sunshine on your private garden seating area. And while you are having dinner at the dining table in the living room, a fire may already be blazing in the solid fuel stove. This is how an eventful, relaxing or simply perfect day comes to a cozy end on the sofa with a book or in front of the satellite TV. You will be kept warm by our modern electric heating in the living room and an underfloor heating in the spacious bathroom/toilet, which is equipped with shower, washbasin, towel heating, hairdryer, etc. If you want to leave the car on the secured private property parked for a while, you are welcome to slow down and meander on the secluded property, take a walk, sit on the quayside at high tide and unwind, listen to the birds singing away, enjoy the sea view from our „Peak“ (Fastnet Rock View) or take a stroll to the nearby beach (Ballyrisode). For the Seaview or some quiet time at the Waterfront (not for swimming but for Fishing or Kayaking) you can take a short walk (see above, "Fastnet Rock View") on our Property going past the Potatoe Path Path and the lovely Fairy Trail. The possibilities are endless, the variety great, the nature unique, the landscape varied and the guests always welcome. Enjoy your holiday, treat yourself to some time out. We look forward to seeing you. Guest access Your Car can be parked next to the adjacent Building (Breakfast Room, 25m from the Cottage). And as the Property is fitted with an Automatic Gate which is locked and only accessible with a code, you and your Car are safe... and so is the whole area, no worries! Other things to note We would like to point out, that we are situated in a very rural area. As beautiful as this is, it can also mean that Phone and Internet Reception are rather slow to even not available at great times in the Accommodation. There are several locations on the Property that pick up a good Signal. We enjoy the Silence on our secluded piece of Paradise. Why not pamper yourself and join the other Guests for Breakfast? Should you wish to do so, please let us know your choice the night before (no later than 7:00pm). Breakfast is available from 08:00 until 09:45h (last seating), at a Price of € 11.00 per Person. Talk to us, we gladly show you the Menu/Selection. From May - September, there is generally NO BREAKFAST on SATURDAY & SUNDAY (sorry, it can also not be booked on site). You could enjoy some of the Bread & Baked goods in your own Cottage if ordered ahead of time. Speak to us upon arrival. Or you can enjoy our Breads and Pastries at the Market in Goleen (Saturday) and Schull (Sunday) and get a discounted price for that.
