Imeri's Mountainview Homestay

Bula and welcome! My home sits under shady trees in the small village of Namara, 50m from the beach. We are on the Island of Wayasewa, 1 hr from Lautoka on the mainland. Come and join me in our village to learn about Fijian culture, share stories, food and laughter. Relax Fijian style or enjoy the many activities including, swimming, snorkelling, fishing, walking, weaving and visiting the local school. Trawl for fish, swim with sharks and Manta rays and enjoy a bonfire on the beach. The space My small home, has 3 bedrooms, 2 with double beds and 1 with 2 singles. The rooms are simple and have beds, a cabinet and mirror and windows. We provide clean bedsheets, pillow cases, a bath towel and mosquito nets. I love to cook and can provide 3 delicious meals for 35Fiji Dollars pp/day. The sitting room has comfy sofas, and coffee tables. We have WiFi in our property but connection is not always that strong. There is good connection on the beach. Our front porch is where most meals are served and a great spot to watch villagers coming and going. We have a separate flush toilet and hand basin. The shower runs first thing in the morning, otherwise it's a cooling bucket shower with mountain spring water. My kitchen is simple and you are welcome to use. I have 2 gas burners, small oven and fire for cooking. Guest access We are always happy to be with our guests, talking and sharing stories. Otherwise, privacy will be given. Guests have access to all common areas and the village all day and into the evening. During your stay I love hosting and talking with the many guests from around the world. I have a good sense of humor and love to laugh! Most villagers will be saying hello - bulla to you and good morning- yandra! Everyone is very friendly. Other things to note There is no where to get food on the island, however guests can have 3 meals a day prepared by us for $60 a day. Please bring plenty of sunscreen, a sarong and a hat for the beach, on the boat and walking. If you would like to do organized activies such a shark feeding, fishing and swimming with Manta Ray's, please bring extra Fijian dollars as we have we have no ATM. Check with me when you book.
