This traditional stone fronted cottage is nestled on the picturesque Loop Head Peninsula in the tranquil fishing village of Carrigaholt in County Clare, West Ireland. Carrigaholt is located along the route of the "Wild Atlantic Way". The dramatic coastline is awash with towering cliffs and unique rock formations, flourishing wildlife and sea-life. The area is famous for dolphin watching, fishing, walking treks, cycling routes, seafood, and of course the pint of Guinness! Cleaning utensils wash up liquid and dishwasher tablets provided for your stay. Bird watching: This area is considered a birdwatchers paradise. Seabirds and Waders breeding here include Curlew, Fulmars, Gannets, Guillemots, Kittiwakes, Oystercatchers and Puffins. August/September/October brings migrating birds such as Arctic Skuas, Manx, Great Pomarine, Storm and Leaches Petrels and Sooty Shearwaters. Bring your binoculars and walking boots to enjoy Europe's cleanest air as you walk and spot Loophead's wildlife.
