We are located at El Remate, a colorful town at 30 kilometers from Flores and 20 km to Tikal entrance. Is easy to use public transportation. Arriving from Chetumal or Belize: You do not have to go to Flores, El Remate is on the way, ask the driver to drop you off in Ixlu junction. Ixlu is at only 1 km from el Remate. Sometimes the driver can take you directly to El Remate for a tip. If not, a taxi from ixlu can drive you directly to our house (La Piazza as is name our guest house). Coming from Flores There are minibuses from Flores (Santa Elena) to El Remate, every 20 minutes, from 6:00 a.m to 5:30 p.m. These minibuses depart from Terminal nueva in Santa Elena. Cost Q20-25 per person. Going from El Remate to Flores. There are collective minibuses every 30 minutes to Santa Elena, from 5:30 to 5:30 p.m. Transportation To Tikal: Collective transportation departs at only 1 block from the house. Departing at 5:30 a.m y returning at 2:00 pm. Cost. Q60.00 round trip. (Ask us to book it for you) Or if you prefered we can organize a share guided tour for only Q150.00 per person. Please take into consideration that you are traveling to Peten region, a tropical rainforest area, we do our best to keep insects away. We do have wireless internet connection but due we are located in a small village we receive the signal by a satellite, sometimes can be a slow connection. Since we are located in a rainforest area rarely we can have lack of electricity due the rain.
