The Beach Cottage

If you feel like a staycation with sea views and your own beach to kayak from, the Beach Cottage is designed for just that. Situated in a private garden space, with access to the beach, open plan room with double bed, fully stocked kitchen & ensuite bathroom for comfort. Added amenities will make your stay comfortable and you are guaranteed wonderful sea views and a peaceful environment during your stay. Conveniently located near to bustling Sai Kung Town, it 's an ideal getaway from the city The space We have put a lot of time and thought into making this area as comfortable and user-friendly as possible. The open plan kitchen allows for you to make your meals. We live next door in the main house but we will try to give you as much privacy as possible and answer messages if you have any questions or issues Please note we share the connecting patio and garden space to your room. You will have your own area for sitting out. To access the Beach Cottage, you must walk through the village to our main house and then through the garden to your room. We have added additional security lighting at night, but we advise you bring torches. Our village has neighbors who own large village dogs, they will bark on your arrival but they are asked to be kept behind a gate so should not bother you, if you are scared of dogs and cannot walk past a barking dog, this is not the place for you to stay We also have our pets, they are our family, we have cats and small dogs, the dogs are very friendly but again, if you don't like dogs, this is not the place for you. We live on the edge of a country park, we are so lucky to have a beautiful spot and a beach that you can use. The beach is made up of sand and rocks, it is a lovely spot to swim, but there are barnacles and sharp rocks, you must wear footwear for swimming to avoid cutting yourself. There's some lovely fish to see, so bring your goggles! A kayak & safety gear is provided for you to explore the nearby islands & beaches. Being on the edge of a country park we have a beautiful garden, but that brings with it some spiders, ants, snakes, mosquito etc. If you can't interact with nature, this is not the place for you. We rarely see snakes, but they do share our space This is HK, in the summer it is hot and humid and it rains hard when it does. The room is provided with air-con and heating, you will be comfortable, but this is not a 5 star hotel - it is built for getting out the city, please don't give us a bad review if you have not read and understood what we are providing here. We are providing a fun getaway with a beach, but in HK countryside with all the environment that comes with that. Guest access On rainy days there is a big smart TV with all the apps and movies you need. There is a separate laundry area with washer and drier and drying rack provided in your room. There are kayaks to use, dedicated double kayak, others can be provided if asked for and sun loungers for sitting out. Outdoor lights, garden sofa & chairs. A separate gas BBQ can be arranged. A fire pit can be provided for the evenings Other things to note Hiking trails including the Maclehose trial are right on the doorstep
