Glebe Cottage

This period holiday cottage is in the old stable block of Carrowkeel Glebe House and was the first part that we renovated it a few years ago. It is on the Mulroy Bay side of Fanad with Murrin hill to the rear. Conveniently located just 1 mile from Tamney (Tawny) village and 3 miles from Portsalon, with Ballyhiernan, Ballymastocker and Drumnacraig beaches all within 10 minutes drive. Min 3 nights stay. Bed 2 can be arranged either as a double bed or as 2 singles. The space Multi-fuel stove, fridge / freezer and dishwasher, fan oven, ceramic hob, microwave, and toaster. Separate utility room with sink, washing machine, tumble dryer and downstairs WC. Baby travel cot / stairgate / high chair / baby bath all available. Satellite TV (UK and Irish freeview channels) and wifi. Bed linen and towels supplied. Guest access The cottage has its own separate part of the garden with limestone patio and grass area. Picnic table and some garden chairs available, and garden games. Other things to note SUMMER 2020 – COVID-19 RELATED CONDITIONS Please follow government guidelines. If you or any of your party have any Covid-19 symptoms at any point up until your stay, please stay at home; we will be flexible with refunds (less any website booking fees). If anyone develops symptoms during your stay, please let us know. Bear in mind when booking that local pubs / restaurants etc may not be fully open. We have introduced a heightened, thorough hygiene and cleaning regime, and 24 hour buffer period between bookings to facilitate this; BUT please note: Refuse disposal Our usual rules must be strictly followed this year. There is no public refuse collection in this part of Donegal. All guests MUST remove their own refuse and recycling from the cottage at the end of the stay. Either guests take their refuse and recycling away with them; or they must ask and purchase refuse and recycling bags from the local shops and leave their bags at the end of the drive when leaving. Bedding and towel laundry For added protection, we ask that our guests strip their beds at the end of their stay and put all laundry to be washed in black bin bags tied at the top. Disclaimer There are no guarantees that the cottage is virus free. All guests must be 'self-responsible'; and we ask that they be considerate to other guests coming after them. We hope that the additional steps taken will sufficiently protect our guests; but if you are concerned, please do pack additional disinfectant, cleaning wipes, kitchen paper, hand sanitizer and bin bags and even your own bed-linen if you have concerns over this. Reminder on FAQs Dogs – Dogs are welcome, but must stay downstairs only at all times. Wifi – Is provided by satellite and is limited data; suitable for light use only and not working remotely or lengthy video calls. Guests can pay to top up for extra use. Use of the top bunk bed is not recommended for children under 5 and is at guests own risk.
