Cozy, quiet dorm rooms are ideal for travelers who want a peaceful place to rest with a friendly, social hostel atmosphere. Each room sleeps up to four guests and features sturdy bunk beds with comfortable foam mattresses and fresh linens—perfect for recharging after a day of exploring. Located on the second floor, the dorms share three clean bathrooms. Each bed includes a reading light and under-bed storage, offering a simple, comfortable, and practical stay for budget-conscious travelers. The space This isn’t your average place to sleep—it’s a slightly legendary, proudly unpolished, full-of-stories kind of place. As Alaska’s longest-running hostel, we’ve seen it all: missed buses, epic road trips, Northern Lights proposals, and a few guests who came for two nights and somehow stayed two weeks. We’re family-run, Fairbanks-born, and we genuinely like travelers (even the ones who snore a little). Open YEAR-ROUND, because Alaska doesn’t do “off-season.” Winter = Northern Lights. Summer = Midnight Sun (yes, it really doesn’t get dark). We’re located in a quiet residential neighborhood near the University of Alaska Fairbanks—an easy walk to coffee, pizza, ice cream, and the Tanana Valley Farmers Market. Guest access The hostel is open 24/7. There is no curfew. Sorry but I do NOT accept reservations from local Fairbanks residents, OR from 3rd parties. This shared dorm room is located on the 2nd floor of the hostel. Each dorm sleeps up to 4 guests with two bunk beds. Your door access code will be sent 1–2 days before arrival. Guests have full access to all shared spaces, including bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, common room with TV, and indoor seating areas. Outside, enjoy the hostel grounds, gardens, picnic tables, BBQ, and covered seating in summer. In winter, you may even see the Northern Lights right from the property when conditions are clear. We are happy to accommodate late-night check-ins (after 7pm) but we ask that you let us know your approximate arrival time so that we can let you know what to do when you arrive. After-midnight arrivals: You must book the previous night, or your bed won’t be available until 10am on your day of arrival. Dorms are co-ed. We try to separate genders when possible, but it’s not guaranteed. Please Note: Because this is a close shared environment, Billie's residence and she has a dog on the premises: Animals of any kind, including service animals are NOT allowed. Private rooms are also available (listed here or on our website). We do not accept reservations from local Fairbanks residents. No third-party bookings—whoever makes the reservation must be staying.
