We created our bed and breakfast to be comfortable, relaxing, restful, and romantic. Retha and I Have operated as a full bed and breakfast since August 1st, 2000. We enjoy serving breakfast to our guest. It is very enjoyable when they come into the main house and we can serve them with a hot breakfast right at their table. Dana & Retha The space The Plantation Suite is our most exclusive suite. It is 532 sq. ft. There is a four poster California king bed underneath a beaded board ceiling with exquisite crown molding details stained with dark maple. There is a large sitting area with a beautiful fireplace and extra large smart TV. Hidden within an oak armoire is a small bar refrigerator, a bar sink with a Keurig coffee maker and microwave. Behind the antique sliding pocket doors is the en suite bathroom. In there you’ll find a fabulous large whirlpool tub underneath an oval leaded glass window. The trim is dark wood and the walls are golden. You will enter up a short staircase onto your private deck then through your own entry into luxury. Guest access Our bed and breakfast on 4 acres beside White Rock Creek. We have a big beautiful yarn with large pecan and oak trees. Our property resides in a wooded neighborhood full of trails creeks and bridges. Sometimes you can see cattle in the pasture or miniature ponies. Our guests have seen various forms of wildlife such as deer, raccoon, turkeys, and an occasional owl. A fire could be started in a small fire pit. We could set up a corn hole game for you to enjoy. During your stay Retha and I have been married for over 40 years and in that time have enjoyed staying at bed and breakfasts on trips and romantic getaways. Many times we had talked of having a B&B of our own. August 1st of 2000 we moved into the home that you see on our website and opened the Bed and Breakfast on White Rock Creek. In a short period of time, we have had the privilege of serving guests from all over the world. In the spring of 2000, Retha Was feeling a little stressed out. Her thought was that even Jesus went away to a lonely place occasionally. She wanted to go by herself to read, pray, walk, and relax. She went to a small town not far away and stated a bed and breakfast. She felt so refreshed and renewed. Just before leaving after a two day stay she actually said to herself out loud, Lord I'm like provide a place of retreat for people. She never shared that thought with anyone even me. A few months later it was our anniversary. She told me she would like to go away and stay at a bed and breakfast. I thought that was kind of a crazy idea. I found a different bed and breakfast within that same small town. From the moment I walked on that property my brain started imagining what it would be like running this as a business. Just before we were called to breakfast while we were waiting outside in their courtyard, in the midst of a conversation I looked at her and asked, " We're supposed to open up a bed and breakfast aren't we?" She smiled for a big and said, " Yes we are!" Within just a few months we purchased the home that we now use as the innkeeper's house. Where we serve breakfast and greet our guests. That was August 1st, 2000. It took a few years for us to build all of the rooms that we have within two extra buildings. We have greeted guests from all over the world. We have made friends with so many. This has been the joy of our life! I often tell people that I know we don't have a perfect bed and breakfast property but we try to overcome it with hospitality.
