The space IRRUS will suit those who love to enjoy beautiful, natural rural surroundings combined with the comfort of relaxed living. It’s for chill and thrill seekers alike - a great place to unwind and destress or be adventurous and experience the spectacular local countryside and outdoor activities the Loop Head region has to offer. INVITING AND SPACIOUS ROOMS IRRUS’ spacious open-plan living/dining area is filled with natural light and designed to ‘bring the outside in’ with sea views throughout. Relax on the extra-large sofa nestled in front of our wood-burning stove. Or catch up on a spot of reading/social media overlooking the sea on our mid-century modern suite, a family heirloom made in Ireland. The kitchen is modern and streamlined, with lots of preparation space on a hygienic and stylish glass worktop. It is fully-equipped with branded appliances, including an induction hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee/latte machine, microwave, oven, washing machine with dryer, electric blender and hand mixer, electric kettle and toaster. IRRUS has 3 bedrooms, all individually styled with a mix of contemporary and antique furnishings. 6 people can be comfortably accommodated in: - 1 Double bedroom (king size bed) with en-suite (power shower, heated towel radiator, toilet, sink) and sea views - 1 Double bedroom, with one super king size bed, overlooking the garden* - 1 Double bedroom, with one queen size bed, overlooking the garden* *Served by the adjacent main family bathroom, containing a power shower, heated towel radiator, toilet and sink. Outside you'll find the large and well-maintained front and back gardens, including a paved dining area and direct, private access to Rhinevilla beach from the bottom of the garden. Enjoy the use of our outdoor furniture during your stay, as well as a charcoal Weber BBQ. FACILITIES For your comfort and convenience during your stay at IRRUS you can enjoy the use of: - Flat screen TV - Free WiFi & hi-speed (fibre) Internet, with 500mbs download & 50mbs upload - Integrated USB plug points, in case you forget to pack an adapter or plug when you are travelling! - Linen and towels - Integrated washing machine with dryer, in addition to indoor & outdoor clothes drying rack/line - Oil central heating throughout - Wood-burning stove in open plan living/dining area - Ample supply of wood for the stove for the duration of your stay - Yoga mats for you to use during your stay - Binoculars available for bird, seal, dolphin & whale spotting during your stay - Old-fashioned “Games Drawer” to keep young and old distracted whatever the weather! - Selection of books and magazines - A naturally-seeded lawn area with native grass and shrubs Guest access Guests have complete access to the property, including front and back gardens, terrace and beach. The only off-limits areas are the garage beside the house & attic, which are used for the owner’s storage. Other things to note Due to its ocean-side location, IRRUS is protected by an invisible seawall at the end of the back garden. This results in a 1.5m drop outside the seawall to the level of the shore, and therefore extreme caution and supervision are advised at all times with small children in the garden. No responsibility will be taken by the owners of IRRUS for accidents that may occur. While IRRUS is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible, it is all on the same level internally, making it easier to get around for guests with poor mobility. Private parking is available on the grounds of the house for up to three cars. Due to its rural location and lack of local public transport, a car is essential to get around. IRRUS is a no-smoking property. We have two security cameras located on the front and back of the garage. They will be turned off during your stay.
