The space 🏡 About Hunter’s Lodge Hunter’s Lodge is a charming double-fronted Victorian house, built in 1900. It has welcomed guests as a hotel and guest house since 1926, with further expansion in the 1970s and 1980s. Many original features remain and are complemented by traditional furniture in the public areas, giving the property a warm and characterful atmosphere. 🛏️ The Space Rooms: 2 ground-floor double en-suite rooms; all other rooms are located on the first floor (access via stairs with railings). Bathrooms: All rooms are en-suite with toilet, washbasin, and step-in shower. Beds & Linen: Quality Sanderson bed linen with professionally laundered white cotton sheets. Comforts: Complimentary toiletries and towels, central heating, hairdryer. Technology: Flat-screen LCD digital TV in every room. Free Wi-Fi internet access throughout. Dedicated broadband connection with a work desk and PC provided. Printer and scanner available (small charge). Extras: Tea/coffee-making facilities in every room. We provide a continental style breakfast in our dining room from 08:00 to 09:00 Monday to Sunday Breakfast is self-serviced and may include sliced bread with butter/jam/honey, Ham & Cheese, croissants, rolls, fruit juice, tea, coffee, assorted cereals, fruits and yoghurts. Should you have any additional special dietary needs then please bring them to our attention beforehand and we will always endeavour to try and accommodate them. *Facilities in dining room: In the dining room has a refrigerator and microwave, so you are welcome to bring prepared food to consume yourself but, please use it outside of breakfast hours. *Licensed Residents Bar: Hunters Lodge is one of few in the area that has a licensed residents bar where guests can relax have a drink, Free WiFi access, watch TV or just read a book in the bar and lounge area. There are also compendiums of games for guests use and a small library of books for guests to enjoy. *The lounge is open 08:00 - 22:00 for guests use. *The bar is available every evening from 5pm until 10pm. During your stay 🏡 About Your Stay We’re a family-run guest house with 14 letting rooms. Each room is individually styled, so it may differ slightly from the photos shown — but all are clean, comfortable, and well cared for. 🔔 Guest Assistance If you need any help during your stay, please ring the bell on the wall next to the registration table and a member of our team will be happy to assist. ⏰ Hours & Contact Reception hours: 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM Emergency support: Available 24 hours a day Other things to note Our guest house is a Victorian building, and while we do our best to accommodate all guests, please note the following: Entrance: Two entrance doorways (84 cm & 86 cm wide) with one step (15 cm high). Ground floor accommodation: Two double-bedded room on the ground floor (doorway 78 cm wide). All other rooms are on the first floor, accessible by staircase with railings. Unfortunately, there is no elevator. Rooms: All rooms are en-suite with step-in showers. Please note, bathrooms do not have grab rails. Shared spaces: The bar/lounge area and dining room are on the ground floor (doorways 78 cm & 70 cm wide). Parking: Driveway and both front/rear car parks are block-paved and level. Luggage: A large luggage storage area is available on the ground floor if needed. Pets: We do not allow pets.
