Poseidon Residence in Historical Center of Trapani

Located in the central historical district of Trapani, this air conditioned one-bedroom apartment is on the second floor of an old-fashioned building near many marvelous restaurants and stores. The apartment features one large bedroom (with a bed that can fit two people,) a living room with a smart-television (and a sofa bed that fits two people,) a full-size bathroom (with large walk-in shower,) and a full kitchen (with stove, oven, and washer/dryer for laundry.) The entire interior of the apartment has recently been renovated. It features modern appliances and furniture. It is decorated with a classical style with a modern touch. Each room features hand-picked furniture, art, and accessories. The bedroom and living room each feature large windows that allow guests to walk out onto the balcony (please do not jump off of or throw anything out from the balcony.) The entire apartment can be cooled off with the new air conditioning unit. The bedroom is large (approximately 20 square meters), has tall ceilings and a ceiling ventilator. There is a dresser and large armoire in the bedroom for storing belongings. There are nightstands and nightstand lamps on both sides of the large queen-sized bed. The kitchen features all-new appliances, which includes a large refrigerator, microwave, and a washer/dryer for laundry. Please be aware that there is not a window in the kitchen, in case having a kitchen window is an important factor for guests considering making a reservation here. If you have any questions about the property, please ask. Guest have access to the front door of the building, the main staircase and the entire apartment including the balconies. Guests cannot park vehicles inside the historical center; however, there is some street parking available nearby. There are street parking zones that require payment and some parking spaces that are free to park overnight. I recommend always putting the building key inside the key box every time when exiting the building so you are never locked out. The entire apartment is available for your private use. This property features self-check-in with a key for entering building entrance and a keypad code for entering the door of the apartment. The check-in instructions are sent to guests in an e-mail. If you do not receive the e-mail or you cannot find it, please let us know as soon as possible. Guests can contact the host through Airbnb, text messages, or by telephone. There are many great restaurants in the area and the port is in walking distance. The ferries to the islands are only a ten minute walk away. For touring, consider taking the aerial tram to visit Erice and Castello di Venere. For more information regarding activities and attractions in the area please ask us. Here are two grocery stores in the area: Despar is probably the closest. If you have a car, Paghi Poco is good, but that is a bit outside of town. Here are two grocery stores in town that you can walk to: Despar Via Carolina, Trapani Tuttobio Trapani Via Giovanni Battista Fardella, Trapani Scooter or walking. If you turn on the lights in the stairwell, please remember to turn them off. You can turn them off by pressing the middle light switch next to the television. To lock the door when exiting, simply close the door from the outside hallway and press the “Schlage” button located at the top of the keypad. (There is a “Schlage” button on the inside of the door, but do not ever use this button.) You will hear the lock make a noise. To lock the door from the inside, simply manually turn the knob. The garbage and recycling containers are located in the kitchen on the floor next to the refrigerator (and some on the living room balcony.) The smart television on the wall in the living room can be connected to the WiFi network and has YouTube, Netflix etc... The washing machine is a combination of washer and dryer. Before you put clothes in to wash, you must check the inside to remove fuzzy lint fiber from any previous drying cycle. If the lint fiber is not removed, it will cling to the wet clothes during the washing cycle. Please do not simultaneously use the stove, laundry machine, microwave oven, air conditioner all together. If possible, please use only 2 or 3 of these appliances simultaneously as the local electrical system cannot tolerate very many volts. Small electronics are fine. Beach towels, beach umbrella, and pads for laying on rocks are provided. The main stairs of the building are steep and narrow, so please be very careful when walking up and down the stairs of the building. I recommend always putting the building key inside the key box every time when exiting the building so you are never locked out. For guests staying more than a few days: Please be aware that I do not provide guests with an unlimited supply of toilet paper, garbage bags, soap and other consumable items because doing so encourages guests to consume them irresponsibly and without moderation. I have confirmed with Airbnb that providing “essentials” does not equate to an unlimited quantity of consumable products. If you consume all of the provided toilet paper and garbage bags, please purchase your own. Thank you.
