"Tanani Newa Home" is situated at Tanani Tole, Patan Dhoka, one of the gateways of UNESCO world heritage site THE PATAN DURBAR SQUARE. This homestay is managed by an architect. She herself designed the house and all furniture. It was partially damaged by the 2015 earthquake and rebuilt in 2019. It is located inside the courtyard and little far from main street so guest can feel peace at all times. From this home, guest can access to malls, restaurants, hospitals, etc. within few minutes' walk. The space Tanani Newa Home is a five storey building. It has six (6) bright and spacious rooms with an attached bathroom. All rooms are carefully designed by an architect. You can enjoy exceptionally comfortable rooms, quietly nestled within the courtyard. It has a romantic cocoon and a wonderful base to explore the surrounding neighborhood of Patan. From the roof terrace, you can see a spectacular view of Kathmandu Valley surrounded by a majestic view of hills and mountains. There are chairs arranged for you so that you can bask yourself on the warm sun or read book or have rest. There is only one stray dog left in our courtyard. Stray dogs are community dogs who are guarding 24/7. Birds like sparrow and pigeon are twitting/chirping early in the morning. You can feel a sense of naturalism staying at this home. Since this home is located in a quiet area of the alley (Galli) within a big courtyard (Chowk), you can experience peace and see the traditional lifestyle of Newar (an indigenous community of Patan). Rooms are in rectangular shape. They contain a comfy queen size bed with clean cotton beddings. The room is well ventilated having two side openings. There is working table, wardrobe and an electric kettle provided inside the room. We have facility of iron, iron board and hair dryer. You can ask for it whenever needed. Guest access We are living on the first floor of this building. We will be available for 24 hours. A guest has full access to the roof terrace, living room/Reception, balcony, and shared kitchen. During your stay In Nepali culture, the guest is considered as God. "Atithi dewa bhawo." It means Guests are God. And we believe in it. We will be there to help you 24/7. Other things to note Courtyard dogs are adorable creatures, very kind and friendly. If even they welcome you with little bark, don’t be afraid, it is just to greet you. Gas, Water, and Electricity are very precious resources here in Nepal. It is requested to use them very consciously. Small problems related to the above resources may happen. We are very reactive to fixing things as soon as it is being informed but you need to be aware that Nepal is a country where you shall be adaptable.
